This semester has been crazy. I have been studying quite a lot. On the upside, my cooking is getting really good. How hard is it to follow a recipe anyway right? Harder than you would think.

Off to Mexico on monday and so excited. Spending ten days at my father's condo off the Malecon

Crazy New year happy number 13. Hope you all managed to survive the mediapocalypse, of course you did, was there any doubt? Has been a wonderful holiday season. I have many things to be thankful for.
What was one of your resolutions? I managed to quit smoking this year *dances* and on top of that have been going to the regular gym and the rock climbing gym again. *woot* Very much enjoying life. My friend Johnny and I have been climbing twice a week and look to go out to Joshua tree this spring to climb in nature!
There's a kind of cool side effect of working out more, getting fit gets more double takes on the street more smiles and generally happier interactions with the fairer sex. All is good here, hope you are all the shining stars of your collective potential!

Going to see Peter Murphy perform bauhaus songs tonight in Santa Ana, CA. So excited! I've seen him play before but only his solo stuff. Bauhaus is still my favorite band since 7th grade, gauge my age then do the math.... a long time!

So excited, four days until I'm sitting in a Paris café drinking un café noisette and reading
le point. Then back to LA ten days later, quit smoking, do some DIY around the house and then
leave for PV, Mexico to spend a few days at my dad's condo.
My finals kicked so much ass. 3 A grades 1 B+ (just missed it) so i'm definitely looking to celebrate. New IPAD mini is keeping me busy. Got all of my books for next semester most digitally, of course, but one regular. Couple semesters to go before I'm certified as an advanced cook and then on to bigger and brighter horizons.
Life is really fucking good at the moment, enjoying it!

So a new semester is just about to begin. I've got my classes all lined up for early registration monday and I'm super excited. Political philosophy was the one class this semester that both enlightened and depressed me. I'm barely squeaking out a B in that class and may end up with a C at the final but what a great teacher and wonderful experience. Having studied everything from Socrates, Plato, Aristotle and the three waves of modern philosophers I've gained a huge appreciation for Rousseau for one and see why the west is fucked up and beautiful in so many ways.
This term, I'm finally doing what it is I'm going to school for and taking Culinary principles, baking, food service accounting and Français (mais, bien sûr !) and am looking forward to a lot less homework and more laboratory/kitchen work. I get the chef's coat and only have a couple semesters before I either go to Cal POLY or Cordon Bleu!
Just over 3 weeks I'm heading back to Paris to see my little girl, check in on my investment in a Rock climbing gym, and hopefully hang out with a few friends Scentauri for one. Hope all of my AMERICAN friends had a happy manifest destiny day! It still bothers me a little that we celebrate a lie perpetuated that the native americans saved our asses when in fact we took all of their land and drove them into reservations. May have something to do with being partially American Indian, myself... but who knows.
I've cut down majorly on smoking and will be quitting in the next few weeks as my best friend and I made a pact to quit before our birthdays. He's already stopped for a month and I'm still waiting. I can find an excuse to keep smoking and a reason to do it, but this time is for good. Last time I stopped for 7 years, wish me luck!
