School starts Monday, so I woke up super early today to go to the bookstore and get all the books i had pre-ordered... nobody was there, hah! Love it when a little preparation can save a lot of headaches.

Had an amazing summer, my ex and I opened up to each other and are both happily dating other people our little girl is good and happy in the fact that her parents are happy even though we are not together which of course bums her out being so little, at least i get to see her more than most separated/divorced dads that live far away from their children.

Summer Classes Begin!

Working on my food handlers certification course, a crazily easy little piece of (non)fiction, but a necessary evil in the tourism/hotel trade apparently. Fortunately, they give the certification at the end plus three credits and it will last for five years.

What has been up with you people?

Summer is upon us, and so is the summer session for those of us still in school Next monday marks the beginning of the Summer semester at my school. Fortunately, I am only taking three credits and it should be a relatively easy class as long as I keep up. That's the problem with easy classes, though, you figure... eh, why bother it's a piece of cake? Must not do this!

Life is going along well. My sickness seems to have gone away and I didn't want to eat anyone's face... California is not florida after all. Today, I'm going to meet up with an old friend for coffee and a chat and am looking forward to letting her hear some of my new music.

So my roommate shows up yesterday with my Zippo in his hand! I'm like, WTF, why do you have my lighter. "oh it was in the bathroom and i didn't want it to get lost" Heh, so that's good.

Remember how i was saying i was worn out and going towards a crash? Well, i wore myself completely down to the nub and have spent the last couple of days in bed coughing and sneezing and generally exhibiting signs of the human condition that makes me wish i was a vampire... aka the messiness of bodily fluids.

Otherwise, all is relatively well. I got to chat with my daughter on the webcam today and she was full of beans! So glad that she's doing well and school and happy even though it breaks my heart that she lives halfway across the world from me.

I need to rest, i'm wearing myself out. Misplaced my engraved zippo last week, then my expensive watch. Found the watch, but no zippo... since i've been going all over the place i had to call and leave messages with the people that might possibly have seen it.

Friday night went dancing to this goth club in Long Beach called release the bats with my friend of a million years. Had a great time, hard to believe the last time i was there was over ten years ago and it still kicks ass.

Sunday helped my friend box up some stuff and clean up as she is moving, got asked by another friend to help them move too but declined as i can only do one good dead of such auspiciousness every six months or so. So, yeah i'm a good friend but i'm a better friend to myself first.

Tonight cigars with my best pal and his girlfriend then maybe a coffee and home. Music is still flowing. Finished three solid ideas with ten more to go. We should be playing out by Halloween if all bodes well, pity we won't be ready before as the bassist could have hooked us up with an opening slot for 45 grave!

Last night went over to a friends dinner party and his girlfriend made her own bacon! Holy
fuck that was a food orgasm. Quiche, french toast with bacon sausages and mimosas... it
was a brunch but at dinner time! <3 my friends.

Tonight i'm meeting friends at Haven gastropub in Orange and introducing one band member to a potential other one. Good times, great food... totally excited!

Tire blew out on the FWY yesterday, scare-fucking-Y. Safe now though, ordered four new ones online and getting em installed later on in the week. Now if only my temp agency would call with a job i'd be yippy skippy.
