This is probably my last post here.
(I will never, ever have a "blog". Foul excuse for a word.)

I based my entire interaction here on the way the site was.

I can't find anything.
I can't easily see if my friends have updated or not.
I can't read the labels easily because they're in stupid fonts.
Everything takes a lot longer because the one-click ways of doing things have been replaced with four- or five-click ways.
Also, there are many fewer links per page (e.g. the list of recently active threads), which slows things down again.
The adding of the most recent comment to the listing of the thread: I can see why, but context is vital and this change slows things down.

I can't believe how lame this is.

The way I feel now, I won't be renewing.
And, you know, I dislike the interface so much I won't be logging in enough to get used to it.

Yeah, the new site sucks donkey balls, so I'm probably not far behind you. There have been a lot of really negative changes made recently, but this is really the straw that broke the camel's back. I can't even look at the site anymore without getting a headache. puke

Aye, well, that's what you get for being too attached in the first place.

You don't need accessability when you've got paint stains everywhere.

Check ton email.

I signed up for a year about a week ago. Regretting it now... whatever

Anyway, we weren't friends or whatever, but I did enjoy reading your posts on the boards (back when boards were readable and not blinding). So, goodbye and good luck and all that smile

i hope there's still a chance that you;'ll change your mind, homeslice. you're one of my favorite things about sg. i was pissed when they switched from the version they had when i first joined to the previous version... but if you get right down to it, it's just a matter of where the buttons are.

i figure they have to keep changing the site to keep it seeming new... there is that gg thing they avhe to compete with , after all (sg is still better, though, i think).

anyways, what matters is the people, right?

in any case, take care, you're an awesome guy, and i'm glad to have met you.

"My suspicion is that since magic violates cause and effect, it is related to time-travel and suchlike concepts."

Yep. One of the founders of CM, Peter Carroll, now spends most of his time working on theories of time. You can check out his latest on his site, http://www.specularium.org/.

CM is a bit of a redundancy%u2014not to mention often misnomer%u2014but being involved with it for some time now, I understand why they call it as they do, and I'm fine w/ it.

"(Unless it's in the mathematicla sense, of course; butterfly effect, etc.. That would make sense.)"

Yeah, that's part of it, tho I suspect most connections there were serendipitously made after the name was coined.
