It's been a while, let's see...
My grandaughter on Halloween. She was a monkey but insisted on taking Pluto along!

Then she turned two the begining of November. Had her party at Wunderland!

I went to some shows the past few months:
Dartgun and the Vignettes (one of my favorite local bands)

and The Wayne Gacy Trio

The Black Pacific (with Jim Lindberg, ex Pennywise singer and Marc Orrell ex Dropkick Murphys)

Me and Marc

My brother and Jim

I've seen my favorite Portland band, Rendered Useless, a few times

The last time I went to their show I ended up selling their merch and hanging with all the cute punk girls! (And drank a few Hamm's and Old German pounders!)

And then this one girl showed up and all sorts of crazy ensued!

She tried to eat my face! But I really didn't mind. And then this happened:

Holy Shit! I asked Brad the lead singer who she was and he said he didn't have a clue! I hope she shows up at the next show!
But the biggest thing to happen was at the end of November. I was taking my older daughter to see Girl In A Coma and we got in an accident on the way!

We got hit by a Land Rover in an intersection. The EMT's took us to the hospital in neck braces and strapped to backboards! But miraculously neither of us were seriously injured! My daughter got a cut on one leg and some pretty bad bruises and my ribs have been really painfull but nothing broken. In the second picture you can see how far over it shoved the driver's seat, where I was sitting! It was nuts!
In a couple weeks I'm taking her to see Sarah Blackwood (from The Creepshow) and we hope to make it to this one. Fingers crossed!

Week before last I had a physical, last week the results of all the bloodwork came, today I'm going back to discuss the "multiple abnormalities." I know one of them is cholesterol but most of the report was just gibberish to me.
Last night I went to the Nekromantix show and it was fun! The first band was Toxic Zombie, a local band I'd never seen before and for me they had the best set of the night! Ghoul makeup, zombie back up dancers/singers and they rocked!
Crappy phone pics:

(in the crowd)

Something happened to the phone video I took of them so here's their video for "Gypsy".
The second band was The Brains from Canada. Nothing too special about them accept their lead singer/guitar couldn't get over the border so they had to use a fill in!
Nekromantix rocked of course! More crappy phone pics:

Their newest drummer Lux is not only a badass she's also totally hot! She plays in heals for fucks sake!
In other music news, last weekend a local guitar shop Centaur Guitar held their first annual Centaurpalooza. They had over 30 bands play over sat & sun and I caught most of it. I got in 10 hours and 20 bands. I a really gnarly sunburn on my face!

A bag of dark chocolate espresso beans probably wasn't the most nutritious breakfast I could have had...
I downloaded the album Walk Thee Invisible by Sean Wheeler and Zander Schloss today and I've had it on repeat for hours!
My daughter took me to lunch for Father's Day and we went to Po' Shines. I love that place, has to be the best soul food in town. We both had their sweet tea
delicious!
And to eat she had ribs and mac and cheese and I had the Po’ BBQ Rib Platter: three chicken wings and three big pork ribs with coleslaw and sweet potatoes!

So good! And both our plates came with their Hush Puppies, also delicious! I got full pretty fast and brought almost half home! I almost got the waffles and chicken but decided on the bbq instead. If you live anywhere in Portland it's worth the trip.
My daughter bought her first car firday night. She's 19 and managed to save $3,500 since she started hostessing at Applebee's in December! She found a '02 Taurus with only 43,000 miles on it and she did it all on her own! Pretty proud of that one

It's way past bed time so I'm gonna stop. I hate blogging and I doubt anybody's gonna see this anyway...

I went to a good local show last night. I saw one of my favorite local bands 800 octane again along with 48 Thrills and a band that's been around for years but I'd never heard Dartgun and the Vignettes. They are great, like punk rock do-wop! I'm gonna see them again for sure.
The show was at Katie O'Brian's and they really aren't set up for live music. They shove the poker macines to the side to give the bands space and then the pool tables are about 10feet away from the bands. Weird place to have a show.

You can't see it but there's a pool table about three feet from the sound board!
Also this week I got some new records! One of the coolest ones is a Booze & Glory/Harrington Saints split.

the Booze & Glory side is
"Swingin' Fucking Hammers"

I went to the Hell Hath No Fury Tour last night. If they're coming anywhere near you you need to go!

All the bands kicked ass and they all spent time on the floor and after the show talking to fans.
First up was Sister Sin

I saw Liv, the singer, walking around the floor a couple times but I didn't get a pic with her. They're from Sweeden. Reminded me of 80's metal, the kind I grew up on!
Sven and Miri from System Divide

Alexis from Straight line Stitch, one of the hardest rocking, sweetest, humble ladies i've ever met.

I don't think anybody does it harder than Alexis Brown! ANYBODY!
Maria Brink from In This Moment. She's gorgeous and always friendly.

Travis - In This Moment. Very cool.

Chris - In This Moment. A really really nice guy.

Another use for duct tape!

Do or do not. There is no try.

Probably the funnest show I've ever been too.
