So....what have I been doing?
Not all that much really, so I'll start where I last left off...
Friday 21st February.
Not much to say about today except I did get a good few things done anyways and that was about all,I guess.Worked a bit more on the Rowland collage anyways too.
Saturday 22nd February.
Went reasonably ok,headed into the city and just got a Hello Kitty necklace and bracelet and hairbrush all in a 3 for 2 which was a nice surprise anyways since I didn't know that when I saw them before. Had a nice evening too anyways.
Sunday 23rd February.
Headed to the centre in the morning as usual and had the chance to nip to the record shop and came out with a CD by The Phoenix Foundation and Series 4 of The IT Crowd on DVD as well, which I had planned to get, as well as couple of little extras that I found on the cheap- 'Anita Lane's 'Sex O Clock' album and '36' on DVD too so that was good. Headed to The Mall later and had a good look round but didn't really get anything. Nice evening too, watched a film called 'From Time To Time' written by the guy whom wrote Downton Abbey, and although I'm not a fan(my Mum is) it was a very good film. Odd to think that he was in a TV series here in the UK called 'Monarch of the Glen' in the late 90's that I loved.
Monday 24th February.
Quieter day, carried on with the Rowland poster anyways so that was good.
Tuesday 25th February.
Was meant to meet Alex since it was his Birthday, but then as he had to go to his friend's at 5 he said he wasn't coming as he was going to go there a bit earlier and I was running late anyways and was nearly 3 by the time I could meet him.
Went to Kingswood and was a bit late for that too and by the time we got there so just had time for a dash round the charity shops so just went to the best ones and did pretty well anyways...saw some lovely furniture,a lot of G Plan which I love, shame we don't have the space including a sideboard like the one I have, same make but with an extra cabinet on top, lovely but was expensive.Mine's fine and was free anyways. Saw a lovely bureau but need to measure the space we could put it in first, see if it will fit.We had a nice coffee while we were there anyways and got some other odds and ends too.
Drove back for the first time and it was ok,just need to get my bearings a bit better but it was ok. Barely use the car now when where we lived before we rarely used the bus.Only seem to use it for Kingswood and Eastville(to the supermarket)now. We are closer to the city here,at lot closer and the buses are every 15 mins as opposed to half an hour.
Had a good evening and worked on my poster more.
Wednesday 26th February.
Had to go to town to sort a bit of business out and tried to sort one thing out but ended up having to arrange to do it on Saturday instead.
Just got a peplum top and a Claudia Brucken CD which turned out to be quite interesting as it was cover versions...I'll post one in my music blog next!
Nice evening, watched '36' which was good as expected although I had seen it before but my Mum hadn't since Zara let me borrow her copy once years ago.
Thursday 27th February.
Went to meet Alex in the afternoon and called in on my Aunty Sally on the way since I was meeting him up Troopers Hill and she lives on the road that leads to it and although her car was there, she wasn't answering so I just headed on.
Anyways,he eventually turned up and we ended up at what was like a home superstore nearby to get a coffee but the cafe was closed as it was later in the day by then.We then walked a short distance to the train station and just got drinks in Starbucks there. We were trying to guess what 80's compilation CD they were playing in there. He showed me a few places on the way which was quite interesting,an unusual bridge and what is meant to be an art space on the riverside, then we headed from there to a retail park where we had a look around and I found a Hello Kitty easter egg with a Mug as I collect those, and he just got some odds and ends before we left and he dropped me home. His new car is ok and half the price of it would have been at a dealers, but still has a good few problems.
While we were on the Easton roundabout we did see a VW beetle with the top down and it was raining...ha!
Was a nice 'first date' or at least that's what I think he thought it was,or he said words to that effect but I'm happy to take things slowly for now.
Friday 28th February.
Today we only went to Eastville and got lost on the way, found the way but then stupid map said there was a way round by the road where my Uncle Jim lives but there's not so we had to go back and found the way luckily.I was driving and was determined to find the way and found that I had turned too early in the first place.I had just sent my Uncle Jim a text asking if my Aunty Kathy and Uncle Chris were coming as they said at the end of the month and he said he'd call them.
Got there eventually and got the shopping done and Mum drove back and the way back is easier anyways.
Nice evening at least too.
Saturday 1st March.
Had to go into the city earlier to sort some business out and it got done anyways.Had a nice lunch after.
The FB page for PETA has some total nutjobs on it,I ended up unliking the page since all they ever do is go on about going vegan. Some of the comments I read on a post were totally crazy and those were the ones with all the likes on them! Honestly, yes I'm veggie but no I would never go Vegan. But some of the people on there,it's worse than religious preaching at times! It was crazy and the few sane comments that seemed to speak sense had no likes on them... the original post I read was actually aimed at Christians from the sounds of it and that's wrong in the first place as not everyone who likes the page is a Christian, fair enough if it was a Christian page from the outset but it's not,it's supposed to be all faiths, surely? But I had had enough so I unliked it.
Turns out from another page I saw that PETA aren't as clean cut as they seem...will post a link in my music blog for anyone whose interested..and that page made a lot more sense...so I liked that instead.I would never go vegan since I don't want to become one of those self-righteous nutjobs with crazy views and many badly informed ones,at that!
Only got a top and some Hello Kitty notebooks in a sale.Did see some nice lipsticks but I need to see what colours I have already in case I have the ones I saw.Been a while since I got them anyways. Looked for any CDs but none.
Checked on the Marnie CD but not yet. I ordered it there as it wasn't on Amazon at the time but now it is and they keep re-ordering it...I'll give it another week and then see.
Just went online in the evening and chatted to Alex and listened to some music and watched some videos and that was all.
Sunday 2nd March.
Went to the centre and nipped to the record shop too and got the 2 Propaganda albums I planned on plus a DVD in the bargain section('Dance With a Stranger') but saw a couple of others I need to listen to online first before I decide including one I forgot to do that with this week.We went to The Mall after(Alex text me on the way asking if I wanted to go to the market but I said too late I'm off somewhere else now) and had a nice lunch there and found a lovely pair of red patent shoes with a red glitter heel..only ones there,in the sale,in my size!Odd that since I never knew they did a red.I have light pink ones similar I got online once and never saw any red ones.Perhaps they did them later but never saw them at the stores where we lived before one of which was larger and I lways looked.Strange. Still,it was good and they are soo cute.
Didn't see anything else though that I wanted to get really, only got some stickers for a project and that was all.
Got the bus back into the city and had a bit of a wait for the bus from the city centre home and my feet were soaking as I wore the wrong shoes not thinking it would be that bad later on but the rain was torrential when we left The Mall!
Anyways, came home and tried to nap but no so I just chatted to Alex for a bit.
Not much else to say so I'll leave it there and post a music blog in a bit.
