Welcome to 2009!
I have every reason to believe it will be a great year for me, and I intend to work hard to make it so. I am not going to post about any cause, or spiritual enlightenment today, but instead to ask a question. I have no tattoos and I have always (well for the past 10 years or so) wanted one. I could never think of/find/create an image that I liked enough to wear permanently on my body. I think that I have found one that I can love having, it is the Ouroborous. Here are three versions, but I am thinking of maybe a tribal one instead, or trying to find an artist whose work I really like and asking him/her to design one for me.

Tell me what you think!!

Yes, I have. But for me, that isn't like music I can listen to everyday.

i DID have a tool-themed set up at one point, but I took it down cause the photography was awful. I'll probably make another one in the future.
That tattoo would be an awesome idea. It looks like the Glashow snake, a physics analogy that represents the sizes of everything in the universe, and how it goes from super tiny to absolutely massive, but goes round in a circle, with everything intertwined, like a continuous loop....I doubt that makes sense haha, so just look at it Here or here, where it explains:
"Glashow’s snake has its tail pointing towards structure at the smallest scale (quantum gravity). As we progress towards the head we pass through structures on the larger and larger scales, with the head corresponding to the cosmological scale of 1026 metres. Thus we transverse 71 orders of magnitude from tail to head. Yet the bringing of the two ends symbolizes the link without which the picture remains incomplete. The snake is fully understood only if the two ends meet. In other words, the largest scale structures cannot be understood without reference to smallest scale ones and vice versa."

biggrin

Yup, i'm a nerd!!

Hey there just dropping by to say thanks for the love on my set. The Ouroborous tat sounds like a great idea, but I'd stay away from a tribal version, very overdone. Personally I like the detail in the head of the 3rd photo but the rest is kind of a bore... definately find a good artist to cme up with a custom design for you wink

Ya I am actually quite lucky! smile

And I like the third one... but I am not a tribal person. I prefer the more real looking Ouroborous... but its not on MY body. YOU have to live with it!!

and finding the artist is the hardest part, in my opinion!
