Alright, first piece is about to start! Are you ready for it? Now before you begin to read this blog I need you to promise that you won't be angry if I suddenly cut off the story or jump around. It's all apart of the plan, or at least that is what you will need to tell yourself to get through it...
onward and forward!
Today is Labor Day, so cheers to that! I spent my day sleeping in until about 11:00, until my roommate decided I had slept enough and literally jumped on top of my cocooned body. I occasionally toss in my sleep and end up wrapped so tightly in my comforters that I have a hard time moving around to get more comfortable. Anyway, that is how my day started. I then took a leisurely shower and went into the kitchen to the scent of garlic. Very quickly I was handed a knife and a cutting board and was told to mince up the remainder of the onion he had just brought back from the grocery store. I proceeded to help out with the prep work for fancy burgers. I say fancy because these are the kind of burger you may or may not find yourself paying $9.00+ for in a restaurant. I'll break down the list we came up with for the people that showed up for our BBQ:
The Italian
--> 2/3 Ground Beef. 1/3 Spicy Italian Sausage. Red Onion, minced. Garlic, minced. a blend of Italian Cheeses (all mixed into the patty). Served w/ homemade Chipotle Mayo, and Applewood bacon.
The Greek
-->Ground Beef. Kalamata Olives, diced. Red Onion, diced. Chev Cheese wedges (a super soft goat cheese).
and there were like 3 more that I don't want to type out. . . but they were all awesome.
Now after this party there was much drinking, hoorah! Except my roommate is retarded and left the oven on after baking cookies, which in itself was a violation of house rule #3: NO COOKING WHILE YOU ARE DRUNK. Its a rule for a reason as obviously it happens >.> Needless to say, the oven was left on for about 3 hours before I wondered why the cookies on top of the oven were still really warm and gooey.
and then a wonderful game of Life, that remarkably ended with lots of trash talk and yelling. haha. My parties are always so much fun.
Part 1, over and out.
