I haven't written a blog in some time... And before I wrote that blog it was even longer! I'm just terrible at this lol. In my defence I have been working like a fiend and have been around the globe twice, but still I shall endeavor to be better.
I was finally getting around to editing some of my photos from my recent Scotland trip to visit my older brother, who has been living in Edinburgh for 8 years. He's a classical muso and the scene is much better over there for him... And we have dual citizenship for Australia/UK, which certainly helps :) Anyway, back to my photos. I got home in October last year and I just stated editing all 2700+ of them today, so it's not just SG I neglect lol. I have an exhibition coming up and I want to sneak some of the images of the Highlands and Skye in there if I can... Thats a big IF.
Here is a few pics I have just started with:
As if anyone could walk past this guy and not take a pic. He was pro-independence... Just before the referendum.
Random wood carving in a random church... I just like its Gothic feel
Neverending gift - I found this in The Edinburgh Royal Botanical Gardens... A great way to destroy jetlag.
Ceiling of one of many cathedrals...
Same cathedral... Different ceiling. One awesome ceiling is just not enough.
The view over Princess Street Gardens to Old Town
Churchiness
Saw my bro play here...
One of about 1 000 000 statues dotted around Edinburgh. This one was along the Water of Leith.
The Old Scottish Parliament
Selfie on the start of our epic journey around Scotland... That's for another time tho, I've only just started editing Edinburgh and the roadtrip is about 1900 of my 2700 pics. I put in a couple of pics of the north, I had to find these pics specifically for my bro.
Us at Portknockie, a village way up north where our ancestors were among the founders. Shame the weather was cold, wet and windy but that is to be expected I guess lol
Looking back at the town... I'm printing this one 150cm long for my wall, I just like it for some reason.
Uig... No filters, no editing, thats just what it looked like.
Oh, and a phone selfie. My beard was out of control.. but it kept my face warm :)
Now if I can just keep posting I'll have a chance to catch up to the present.
