sorta back from my forced hiatus...

a proper update soon, i swear.

re: the nana set from yesterday:

i checked the site when i got up and getting ready for an all day shoot - looked at a couple of the naked shots near the end, loved the model and photography, left a comment (cuz i tend to comment every set i click) and ran out the door to drive to long island.

got home and looked at it again while downloading my cards from the day...eep! that isn't the set i commented on this morning! rape is never good and for once in my time here at sg, i wish i could retract my comments on a set. not for me. frown that's all i have to say on the subject.

the light on ur pics are ur main distinctive I like it!!

about the Nana set... (and im not gonna use an spoiler)
after read a couple of comments about it in blogs i had to force myself to watch it...
first of all i usually like Albertine shots i think she has a great eye for them and Nana is very cute...(and its so obvious tell u this cause u already know it)

history is plenty of cruel stories that have been hit the human beings... arent we all ashame to be part of an specie able to do all that shit?
abuse is something quite serious... and doest have to be taking lightly
I think the idea of the set can be hurting...specially one shot ...
after have known Albertine it's hard for me to think that was the main intention on the set...
but once again the childish look-a-like + the after-rape-shot dont make me feel, personally, very comfortable

i'm glad to read from a staff photographer their feelings on the set, especially someone who i know has a lot of respect for the photographer of the set in question.

i just think that set was poorly executed, perhaps rushed in planning. it had to potential to push boundaries in a really positive way. there were so many little things that could have made the clear difference between a rape fantasy set (perhaps her daydreaming in a shot at the end or beginning or both) and what went up. i would have felt differently if it showed nana was sexually in control of her fetish the whole time, instead of the clear imagery that the rape turned her into a seductive women (who perhaps enjoyed being raped). and unfortunately, rape wasn't the only area in which it offended. there's some "hidden" nazi imagery that obviously (hopefully) snuck by the staff that prepped this set. i'm willing to believe that was an accident by those at HQ, that they were distracted and concerned with the immediate theme of rape and didn't notice the other hot button items.

i'm interested to see how this pans out. since hq had the option to pass on the set, i don't think it's exactly the model or photographer's fault. i wonder if more is going to have to be included when we submit a set, like an explaination of the potential hidden imagery and theme.

I am such a fan of Mosh and agree I wish she was on here. smile

And yeap. I love Nana and her sets, and how beautiful she is, but by no means do I mean to support the whole idea of the latest set. By no means. heh puke
