So I decided I'm going to actually start writing in this thing more often - at least once a week since I am pretty busy. I tend to just fade into the crowd, and I think as a result, haven't really gotten to know anyone in SG yet. So here's my effort to start!
This week was really busy for me - looked at apartments on Sunday and Monday, saw my personal trainer on Tuesday, John & I threw a party for a friend's parents on Wednesday, got taken out by said friend's parents on Thursday to thank us, crashed on Friday after work and slept for 14 straight hours, and I just got back from the gym. I have plans to see Crank tonight and Wolverine tomorrow - so I'm at least rounding out the week nicely.
The apartment hunt is sucking - John and I decided that we might postpone the move until August or September because we have a really good lead on a nice place that won't be available until September 1st - and moving July 1st is actually really inconvenient because we are going on vacation the last week in June and then John is going on a research trip midway through the first week in July - which really only gives us 3 days to pack, move and unpack - blah! So if the lead falls through, then we'll move August 1st. We have a short list of places we haven't hated - but I really don't want to move someplac that I don't hate - I want to find a place that I love as much as I love my place now. I just want it to cost a lot less and still be in downtown. Is that too much to ask? Maybe I'm spoiled...I've been called worse.
Despite the stress of apartment hunting, the fitness goals are still on track. I've lost 25 pounds so far and plan to lose at least 15 more before I stop seeing my personal trainer (more if I can manage it since I want to get the most out of the money I am spending on him). But I think that what I've learned with him so far has given me a really good basis for doing it on my own. My eating habits are MUCH better and I have actually grown to like eating my fruits or veggies with every meal. I do have my cheat meals occasionally, but my trainer says as long as my good meals far out weigh the bad ones, I'm doing ok. Basically he has me eating 5 times a day which is 35 meals a week - so if I cheat twice a week, thats still 33 meals that I did right. When I think about it that way - it makes me feel really positive about food, something I never really felt before.
Anyway, off to get the workout stink off and get ready to go to the movies, hope you all have a fabulous weekend!
