Holy crap... is it January already?
These last six months have been nuts. CRAZY NUTS. So busy, as can be evidenced by my extreme lack of blog postage here on SG. Though, I have kept up to date on the devil of Myspace with all of my musings and poems. My Myspace Profile if you're interested.
Anyway, I'll try to highlight all the stuff I've done:

As I Lay Dying came on to my heavy metal radio show
Drove to Chicago... twice.... for a girl.
Wrecked my car in Chicago...

Started working on AFK Magazine
Got promoted to Entertainment Editor of AFK Mag
Got promoted to Content Manager at the radio station
Fully embraced all that is Daric FN Awesome

Read House of Leaves
Went to see my parents in Wisconsin

Alrighty everyone. Last night I was online at www.siradio.fm and it just so happened that they needed me to fill the open slot (1am to 4am EST) so I got to go live on the air for the first time. Aside from a few minor kinks at the beginning of my set, it went pretty smooth and I got a good response. So, it's looking like they're going to let me take over that slot on Fridays and Saturdays.
so... that is actually 1am to 4am on Saturday and 1am to 4am on Sunday. I take a good bit of requests but I only play metal... in its various forms.
So if you want to listen to a badass radiostation. Check out www.siradio.fm. Just go to their site and click on your media player of preference under the tune in section. Then start with the rocking out!

If you don't know about it yet, you should totally check it out. SI is an internet broadcast station that allows you to stream audio from something along the lines of a Shoutcast. They play all types of music and the DJs there are just great and friendly. Also, they have an IRC chat room that you can log onto and join in the fun. I love this radio station.
Plus, just last night, I got accepted to be a freaking DJ too! Huzzah! DJ Thorn is out there you better watch out now!

Ok, so last night I went to the first (and only) theatrical release of The Boondock Saints. If any of you have seen this movie, you know that it was not wasted money. The movie is straight genious, and soon there will a sequel... All Saints Day! Excellent...
But, now on to the gripes...
First, the audience. Yes, I know the movie is funny. Yes, I laughed hysterically the FIRST time I saw the movie... and this is what pisses me off. Damn near everyone in the theater is cracking up at the little stuff. What does that tell me? That this place was FULL of people who had NEVER SEEN THE MOVIE!
When something like this happens and a cult movie finally gets a huge theater release, I expect only the hardcore fans to turn up. This was obviously not the case. But, this release is something that I, as a die hard fan, have been waiting for, and I would expect the same out of this fan base. So that was probably more upsetting than it really should have been, but I mean seriously... WTF.
Anyway, the movie, was awesome, of course, and the nachos at the theater were quite enjoyable.
