I was touring the town today and it was a smooth day. It was my first time on foot patrol. I got the pleasure of seeing some pretty talented people. A few musicians, dancers and artist. One that really got to me today was a little Indian boy whom was eleven years old. He was blind and you can tell he was not from a wealthy family. He sung a opera song in Arabic and although I had no idea what he was say, it was the prettiest song I have ever heard. (It seems like the most beautifulest songs you hear are in another language.) I must admit I teared up a little bit. Music is a powerful connection too interact with people.

After he sung we talked for like 2 hours. He told me about him and his families tough journey to America. He told me his singing help get his family across the sea and he loves sing and how he makes people happy. He also told me how he became blind. When he was seven years old in India in the town of Mumbai. He was forced to steal food from a market, the owner caught him and took him in the back of his store and burned his eyes out, which made him blind. I cant believe how people treat each.

But anyway I asked him how does he stay so strong. He told me as long as he has his family, and the voice to allow him to sing he will never give up on life and hope. I can not express the feelings Im feeling right now. It gives me hope that people can over come any obstacle. A lot of people tell me I'm their hero, but I believe the true hero's are people like this little boy, who doesn't give up on life, or any obstacle that comes your way. He is the true hero!
