Pissed. PISSED.
So, I'll save some of the boring shit. The key thing here is that my (now ex) girlfriend and I were planning on getting a car at the very beginning of the year. Then, we figured out that it would cost a metric fuckton, and that it would probably be a terrible idea (my doubts branched further than just the car, but that'll be a story for a rainy day). That said, before we came to that decision, my ex thought it'd be a good idea to pick the car the very day we started truly looking. Awesome. I'm sitting at work, getting a text about how she went ahead. Perfect teamwork. Ultimately, my parents put forth $2,000 right then, and there, to get the monthly payments under $250. There would be another $2,500 due within the week, which they were also going to front. My father did this on the assumption (as we were all lead to believe) that her parents were going to be giving her five grand towards a car, anyway. It'd been the plan for a while.
Well, they chose to say they didn't have it. Maybe within like, half a year. What the fuck happened to having it three months ago? I don't give a fuck that you helped us get to PEI for Christmas. That's peanuts compared to what one of her parents does for a living. Fuck, they build a new house once every five, or so, years.
Anyway. Just yesterday, I saw on the all-knowing Book of Faces that these people have purchased their daughter (who is now residing with them, again) a new car.
I feel like stabbing a box of fucking kittens. With a dull, wooden spoon.
...People wonder why I listen to angry music. Without it, I would round up some kittens.
