This has got to be my favorite short blurb about the current political climate I've read in a long while.

"Boiled down to the dry pot, we must conclude that President Obama, his entire Administration, the Democratic Congress and their favorite benefactor, George Soros, have an evolved form of slavery in mind. It's a type of slavery whereby the productive class is held shackled to the political class's outlandish worldview that there isn't a single problem under the sun, which cannot be swiftly solved with our money, produced by the sweat of our collective brow. They consider our wages and the wages of our children and grandchildren to be their own property, to be squandered in whatever manner they see fit."

from an article titled The Soros Doctrine in Obama Foreign Policy.

To the clueless "mainstream" press and liberals on this site:
The Tea Party Protests (btw save your teabaggers name calling for Congress which has been Teabagging the public for years, and for Congressman Barney Frank who not only Teabags his boyfriend but helped start this whole economic crisis with the help of Fannie and Freddie during the Clinton Administration.) were not started by Fox or some "secret" right-wing moneyman(we leave that kinda shit to the left with George Soros, ACORN and various other leftist professional protester groups). If you want to point a finger at someone it was most likely Rick Santelli of MSNBC with his off-handed comment during his rant of the year.

I found out about the Tea Party here locally from Facebook. Almost all the Tea Parties were put together by average americans and most denied politicians who wanted to speak at them. This was the time for THEM to listen to US. This was a true grassroots movement attended mostly by Americans who normally wouldn't protest since they're too busy WORKING to pay for all you leeches out there. To me that makes these protests 5X more impacting than the typical ACORN professional protest.

Some of you have been asking what this is about? Obama's promised tax cuts for most Americans and today was saying he wants to simplify the tax code. PLEASE.... His cap and trade program will end up taxing EVERYONE and it will hit the poor the WORST. His budget and "stimulus" are going to create TRIPLE the deficit that Bush created. Besides, this wasn't just about Obama..this is about Government in general, it's exceeded it's mandate and has become soft tyranny. This happened before Obama, before Bush, probably most notably with the New Deal. We need to return to a small federal government and return to State's rights..as it's easier to influence politicians in your backyard as opposed to Washington DC.

Do you all realise how arrogant and elitist you are to make fun of these people but give a pass to bussed in ACORN protestors or Code Pink or PETA protests?Check out this clip of a CNN reporter who seems to know every Obama talking point.

Obamatron CNN Reporter confronted by Ugly Truth not everyone is drinking the Kool Aid.

Not very objective is she? My favorite is her Obama talking-point that "the State of Lincoln will get 50 Billion dollars!"
hey Obamatron!! WHERE IS THE 50 BILLION GOING TO COME FROM???
I think the point the guy was trying to make was that his 2 year old will be paying for Obama's Pork till he retires..

So if you happen to think that taxation in this Great Republic has gotten out of hand and that our Government is no longer representing us... throw a Tea Party.

The site has links to the nearest party in your area. Also don't forget to send a tea bag to the White House for April 15!

The further into this new administration we go, the more I'm convinced liberalism is a Mental Disorder.

an excerpt: Just when liberals thought it was safe to start identifying themselves as such, an acclaimed, veteran psychiatrist is making the case that the ideology motivating them is actually a mental disorder.

"Based on strikingly irrational beliefs and emotions, modern liberals relentlessly undermine the most important principles on which our freedoms were founded," says Dr. Lyle Rossiter, author of the new book, "The Liberal Mind: The Psychological Causes of Political Madness." "Like spoiled, angry children, they rebel against the normal responsibilities of adulthood and demand that a parental government meet their needs from cradle to grave."
Dr. Rossiter says the liberal agenda preys on weakness and feelings of inferiority in the population by:
creating and reinforcing perceptions of victimization;
satisfying infantile claims to entitlement, indulgence and compensation;
augmenting primitive feelings of envy;
rejecting the sovereignty of the individual, subordinating him to the will of the government.

The book is at Amazon here.

Why do conservatives listen to talk radio? Most employees and the self-employed don’t watch television at work.

Did I say work? biggrin

So my current car is about dead and as I love road-tripping I need a new car. I've never bought a new-new car before but I'm toying with getting a (Toyota) Scion tC. First off the base price is $16,840 and that includes a 2.4 DOHC VVT-i power plant at 160hp (you can add a TRD supercharger for 200hp and not void the scion warranty), independent struts, 17" alloys, 160 watt 6 speaker AM/FM/CD/MP3 (you can add ipod control through the stereo), power windows, doorlocks and mirrors and a panoramic moonroof. Plus you get Toyota reliability and resale value. I was originally going to go for something more sporty like a Mazda Rx-8, but $3++ gas prices have made me rethink that. Of the cars I have been looking at: the Scion tC, Mazda 3s and Acura RSX Type S, the Scion tC seems to be the best value for performance/quality. The Saturn-like no haggle pricing doesn't hurt either. I want a car that gets decent mileage, rides well and quiet, and has enough power for the freeway. From the online reviews I've read the tC best fits the bill. Anyone out there have any experience with the tC?

Ultraviolet Gunkata

What is Gunkata? It allows the practitioner to put him/herself in the least statistically possible place to be hit at each moment of a gun fight. Gunkata is based on a scientific analysis of bullet trajectory and range based on the mathematical possible outcomes of a gunfight. Gunkata sprang from the mind of director Kurt Wimmer and premiered in his awesome film Equilibrium. Ultraviolet is Wimmer's new film and while it has no relation to the world of Equilibrium, Gunkata is again used. The ever tasty Milla Jovovich plays an engineered vampire fighting against the normal humans trying to eradicate their biological creations. The plot is more twisty than that but you simply need to see this film. I haven't seen such a visually interesting film in a long time. Both the characters and the sets are tinted in primary colours at times and it seems every frame with Milla in it is picture perfect. Even Violet's clothing and hair through technology shifts colours and makes for exciting contrasts. While Equilibrium was a slower paced film with a more intellectual payoff Ultraviolet is all about visceral thrills. The action is constant and varied. The bike chase sequence is incredible as Violet has a device to let her bend gravity so the chase continues up and across skyscrapers!Fist-fights, sword-fights, gun-fights, flaming-sword-fights and gunswithblades-fights keep you entertained. The film in some ways reminds me of Bladerunner, and while the way it's filmed is very modern something seemed to remind me of the best of the 80s. In any case, if you want fun over-the-top thrills give this a view.

Just a quick note. The name "thekiller" is in tribute to the John Woo film of the same name and Chow Yun Fat's awesome performance in said film. If you love action movies The Killer and the even better Woo/Fat collaberation Hardboiled are must views!

FEMALE PRISONER #701 SCORPION

As a fan of exploitation cinema I've seen my fair share of women in prison films. American films like The Big Bird Cage (with the lovely Pamela Grier), were humorous, campy fun with some T & A thrown in. Leave it to the Japanese to make a W.I.P. film that makes The Big Bird Cage look like Sound of Music. The stunning Meiko Kaji is Nami, a woman who falls for a slick vice detective that uses her as bait to catch some Yakuza who end up raping her. Her lover instead makes a deal with the Yakuza and throws her a cut of the money and then walks away. Nami then fails to stab the detective outside the police station and gets thrown in prison. First time director Shunya Ito takes a film that should be trashy (and is on many levels) but films it so deftly and creatively it could almost be an art film. Want exploitation? How about 30 or so naked women being marched up a caged staircase having to lift their legs over bars while male guards inspect/watch/get their kicks? That's just the opening credits! There's a surreal knifefight/shower room sequence, bondage, rape, burning, shooting, genital torture (implied), hair pulling, uniform ripping, rioting, gambling and general cattiness. There's even a scene in which an undercover female officer sent to get a confession from Nami in Solitary is turned into a lesbian by her! In the sense of equal opportunity during a riot some male guards are raped by the women! Many of the scenes are shot in bold colors much like an Italian horror film of the 70s/80s. Meiko Kaji has maybe 3 lines in the whole film, but she speaks volumes with her facial expressions. As she's being tortured she has a look like she's fading away inside herself, or she'll shoot an enemy a glance that speaks untold stories of hate and bile. One scene where she's forced to dig a huge pit and her fellow prisoners are ordered to fill it, one girl won't do it.. and Kaji gives her this little half smile and nod that conveys way more than any words could. Her performance along with the direction make this film an enduring classic. Does she pay back her lover and his Yakuza cohorts? You'll have to watch this gem to find out! Kaji went on to play Lady Snowblood in the film of the same name that was credited as inspiring Tarentino for Kill Bill. Female Prisoner 701 Scorpion definitely can be seen as an influence as well. If you love exploitation films, W.I.P. films, Tarentino, Japanese films or strong female characters give this a look!
