How was everybody's Zombie Jesus Day? Well, mine...ended up being a repeat of last Xmas, if you kids remember. If you don't, here's a refresher.
Yep, sitting @work on a cig break, I call my Nana and find out she's come down w/a pukey/poopy bug again, so Easter dinner is cancelled. Naturally, this upsets me. @least we get a good laugh over it as she's convinced it's a conspiracy because I managed to get the holiday off. I send my "get well soon" wishes, then start figuring out what the hell I'm gonna do w/myself.
Call my dad, who never called me back. Asked my buddy Justin what he was up to (since his folks have extended holiday invites to us friends who don't have anywhere to go), but since he has a new lady in his life, they were doing the mutual family thing. Called Heather (the ex), but she was going out to dinner (which was reservation only). So, sadly, most of my Easter was spent sitting @home, either in front of this computer or eating my Easter dinner, which was, in fact, leftover Chicken Lo Mein. However, I managed to salvage my lost holiday to some extent.
First off, being Zombie Jesus Day, I watched Shaun of the Dead. Second, Heather called me after she was done w/dinner, and we went and cleaned out and washed her car, then went back to her place, chilled out and watch some of The Dukes of Hazzard (which was a decently-made remake, IMO). It wasn't all spent @home by myself, so I was happy.
Also, I found what I believe to be the best thing I've ever seen...ever on Easter.
I ♥ the Internet.
Speaking of aforementioned Interweb, I wanted to post some YouTubey goodness, but as my brain is still a bit sleepy, I'm @a bit of a loss as to what to post. So, here's some random crap.

)Hey, kids! It's another update from Your Friendly Neighborhood Freak.
How are you all? Behaving yourselves, I hope (or @least not getting caught).
What have i been up to, you ask? Go back one entry. That's pretty much it. Because I am a giant dork. And you ♥ me for it.
Also, I watched Pink Flamingos Friday night whilst sitting in Chat. Now, I'm probably one of the biggest John Waters fans you'll ever meet. "Why," you ask? Because I'm a sick, sick little monkey.
Yet again, and you ♥ me for it. Now get your hands outta my pants.
Also, now being less than two weeks away, it's time to make the announcement "official," as only I do.
That's right, kids! Your Humble Narrator will soon be on a plane to travel to the Lone Star State to visit the lovely and awesome sillyokio. Not only is it a trip of firsts (never been on a plane, never left the East Coast), it's a trip I've been looking forward to since last year. I've been looking forward to it more every day. So, who knows? You might get the chance to mock my accent and "Northerner" ways for yourself!
I know Okio will.

How's things w/you guys? Here, I'm doing OK.
First things first...

In lieu of Youtube-y humor, instead I'm going to post a few of the songs I've been listening to as of late that have a common theme, whether explicit or (IMO) songs that speak to me of the same.
Love (or love lost), and the personal feelings within, can be an equally amusing or thought-provoking animal.
That, and (mock me if you will) the two Peter Gabriel entries I posted speak more than "In Your Eyes" does. I never cared for the song anyway. *shrug*

Well, it's the crazy day that only comes every four years, so I said to myself, "Self, why not write a quick blog to commemorate this occasion?"
Now, you may be thinking to yourself, "Why does thefreak talk to himself?" And I say to you in retort..."Hey, who's telling the story here, bitches?"
But I digress...
As I sit here, still warming up from the bitter walk home from work, waiting for my pizza to arrive, I start thinking how much I'm not looking forward to the 4-7 inches we'll be receiving through the night.
For all you West Coast and South kids who never see snow, you'd probably be shitting yourselves w/glee here. I'll have to take some more pics in a repeat of this entry.
Also, I'm in one of those moods where I wouldn't mind cuddling up on the couch. Any lady takers out there? I promise I don't bite (unless requested).

Wow, it's been two weeks to the day since I updated? That's very unlikely of me.
So, here's to new update!
What's been going on w/me, you ask? Well...
First off, my mini-vaca w/the visiting Sharona1881 was fun. Sushi was had (along w/my first taste of sake), as was burgers @Red Robin, as well as general hanging out and enjoying company.
Also, Donnie Darko has to be the most confusing movie I've ever seen in my life.
That, and it's confirmed I'd fuck Maggie Gyllenhaal through a brick wall.
Of course, not everything went swimmingly. Yours Truly, insufferable blonde that he is, made little use of his camera, though a few amusing pictures were taken.
I much enjoyed her visit, and hope she enjoyed herself as much as I.
Also, I've been the video gaming dork you all know and love, thanks to these two games...
Also, may I add, Odin Sphere has some of the best graphics I've seen in a 2d PS2 game ever. EVER. Also, the game's quite good. Pick it up if you're into that sort of thing. thefreak Seal of Approval and all that.
Oh, and Your Humble Narrator also got a new phone today.
Why, you ask? Well, my dear Cingular-era LG, less than a month away from retirement, decided to just up and get it's little flip-phone neck snapped after repeated droppings and (I assume) an underlying stress fracture. So, I took a trip to my local AT&T store, re-upped the contract, and got that sexy ebony beast along w/some other goodies for a very reasonable price. Still learning the ins and outs of it, but I'm already loving it. Hell, I have a camera phone now!
That's right, I'm moving up in the world. Fear me.
Who doesn't love the comedic British genius that is Monty Python's Flying Circus? Not that I own every episode or anything. So, your YouTube-y goodness for this entry is some hilarious, yet overlooked (in my opinion) sketches for a cheap laugh or three?

Damn, is it Friday already? It's been a week since I last updated? Where does the time go, I ask you?
What to report? Hmm...
1. Work is work. This past shift was especially annoying. You'd think after almost 7 years @this job I'd understand the ineptitude of the general public...*shrugs* ah well, I guess someone needs to make my french fries.
2. I'm sick of winter. 'Nuff said.
3. V-Day? *shrugs* I'm hoping the few small gifts I have for people will mask the fact I'll be working and going home alone...again.
GAH, I need to get laid.
Alright, enough of that.
On some more positive notes, in just over a week's time, I will play host to good friend Sharonaaaaa while she enjoys her vacation, though I've warned her NYC is a long ways away from the borderline boonies of MA as far as entertainment is concerned. She didn't seem fazed. I look forward to it.
Also, having filed my federal taxes (still need to Telefile my state), as soon as I get my returns, I shall be shopping for plane tickets (I've never flown...EEP!
) to take the farthest trip I've ever taken, to a place I've never been, to visit another awesome lady come the end of March. That would be sillyokio. This I also look forward to. Also also, I feel like whoring space in my blog to call attention to another good friend here on SG.

How am I, you ask? Well, since you asked...
I'm doing OK. Barring this shitty weather we've had today, it's pretty much same old, same old. Been doing some video gaming as of late, including (finally) getting into the SNES cult classic that is Earthbound. Also, having seen some leaked info about Super Smash Bros. Brawl, I'm getting even more excited for March 9th to roll around.
You may be wondering about the new profile pic. That, kids, is J.R. "Bob" Dobbs. Since I felt I needed to find ETERNAL SALVATION (or TRIPLE my money back), I did the necessary paperwork (and also got a snazzy certificate from the Universal Life Church), and Yours Truly is now not only a card-carrying member of the Church of the SubGenius, but he is also a legally ordained minister.
Why? Because I can.
I love the Internet.

First off, I want to thank everyone here for their b-day wishes. It's much appreciated.
Second, I'm sure you're asking, "How was your day?" Well...
Most of the day was pretty low-key. Stayed @home, browsed on SG (took over Silliness quite a bit, actually), got various texts, phonecalls, and messages on MySpace throughout the day. Last night, I went out to dinner w/Heather and my friends Kit and Keith, had a pretty decent steak, we played (and won) Team Trivia, then I unwrapped my gift that they all pitched in for...a gift that made me nearly squeal like a girl in said restaurant.
Yes, I'm that much of a nerd. And that's why you ♥ me so.
So, all in all, it was a pretty good day. Only wish I could've gotten laid, but what can you do?
I also got my W2s in, and earlier than expected, so I can also work on gettin' my muthafuckin' tax check, as the kids say.
