I seem to be in one those phases when I don't see people as much. Perfectly content to go to a cafe with a book of Lovecraft under my arm, rather than scuffling together plans, or going by myself to a bar or something. Of course, this is more of a phase; the social side comes out eventually. It can get tiring trying to make things happen, though. Perhaps I should just make some "friends" out of used car parts and old clothes. I could name them, assign them personalities, and so on. There's nothing wrong or creepy about that, right?

Too much Lovecraft, I guess.robot

I spent two months with a lamp for a roommate. Mr. Lamp was very amicable and never left any dishes in the sink, although he did not care for my views on photon physics.

I read Lovecraft all year round, just seems appropriate, but I'm bringing my crazy cultist out full blown this year by dressing my cat up as Cthulhu at a local comic shop that specializes in the mythos smile

Thanks oh so much, I really had fun with the new set

Unintentional hilarity is the best part about working with grade school kids. It's also interesting seeing teachers as real people and talking crap about annoying kids or parents.

I remember it being weird when I would see a teacher outside of school because they were apparently not allowed to leave, I guess. I have learned that kids still think that way. A lot don't know how to act when they see a teacher or adult outside of school and others are amazed that you aren't always at school.

The people at your friend's company should be proud of their work. We have come a long way from the days of tying stuff to string to make it float.

Teenagers and adults tend to be fairly predictable but little kids are definitely not. And they are often oblivious to their own humorous remarks which makes it even better.
