Ever feel like you're in a rut? Socially, that's me. If I were to have a dinner party right now, with great food and drinks, fun things to do, etc.; and if I were to invite 12 of my friends (strangely, I do have a lot of friends, though they are scattered around NorCal, mostly), I'd probably get, like, 2 RSVPs. Then, one would cancel; and the night before my "party", my apartment building would burn down; or a stray raccoon would break into my apartment and eat all the food, drink all the beer, then shit on the kitchen table before he left. That's how super-fantastic-awesome my social life is right now. And I won't bore you with the details, suffice to say it's been about two years of this. I wish I could just blame myself, but it's not just me; nor is it anyone else's "fault". It seems like sometimes the universe decides to fuck with you; and it won't stop fucking with you until it's good and ready. Sorry, I am very, very frustrated today. (No more venting blogs this month from me.) Anyway, summer ends Sunday, and it's probably a good thing for me, as I am tired of being alone. Really, really tired of it.
