I update this after over 1 year to announce that, after many years of thinking about it, I finally found the courage to do this:

It's been over 1 year I don't update this..... so....

I'm still working on cruise ships, finished my 3rd contract in january and I'm waiting to be re-embarked next april.
Hopefully I will get a promotion too....

The best thing about this job and this life is the flow of money on my account.

So, a couple of days ago they called me from my company's headquarters. I was supposed to start working again the 25th, but there has been a schedule change and they needed someone asap on the Costa Romantica cruiseship in the Arab Emirates.... so my departure will be the 15th for Al Fujayrah!
From the snow to the desert...wow.

So I will work my ass out 24/7 on a ship for another 5 months, then come back home again in June.

finally, 10 years after all the rest of civilised worls, I was able to get a DSL connection at my home in italy.

What have I been up to lately?

I've been working for almost 6 months on a cruise ship. 7 days on 7. 10 hours x day on average. Pretty hard. But at least I saved some money, enough to buy a new car.

hopefully I will get a job in Milan next month. Otherwise, I'll break my back another 6 months on a fucking cruiseship, and then I'll buy another car...

So.....

Xmas is over. New year's day is over. Partying is over. In one week I'm flying back to Canada.

Time to pack my suitcases... tomorrow I'm heading to MTL airport, then on saturday afternoon (hopefully) I'll be back in italy for three weeks of vacation!
I'm looking forward to seeing all my friends... btw we're gonna have a crazy time together for the new year's day...
