In one of those, "who knew?" kind of moments, I discovered this:

It is a South African folk song, still sung today, commemorating the Confederate States of America cruiser, CSS Alabama that visited (obviously) during the US Civil War. And, up until 1994 the grave of Lt. Simeon W. Cummings, of the CSA Navy was located in Kilrpug Farm, Saldanha Bay. He was the only Confederate buried outside the US. Who knew?
