First off, a couple months back I accepted the Executive Chef position at the oldest Italian restaurant in Portland, Oregon. Place has been open since 1949 and they asked me to be the guy to bring them into their 60th anniversary next year. Pretty freaking cool if you ask me.
But that's kids play compared to this last weekend. Long story short....divorce, mom got custody, kid thinks I suck and I spend the last 2.5 years wishing like hell I could even talk to my daughter let alone see her. Wishes do come true, we talked for the first time this last thursday night. Then I picked her up on sunday morning and we spend all sunday and monday together. She is turning 18 in January and she is beautiful.
I missed my kid!!!!
Things are getting better.
