how i spent my three days off :::
by teclo :::
on wednesday i thought about how i didn't want to go to work on saturday. i got my hair cut, went shopping, and organized cds.
on thursday, i thought about how i didn't want to go to work on saturday. i cleaned the house from top to bottom (leaving the boyfriend's art studio and our bedroom quite alone) and ate too much food and did dishes.
today, i thought about how i really really really really don't want to go to work tomorrow, and thinking up schemes i could come up with to ensure that fact. but i am out of sick days, and i don't want to get fired, so i'll do it. went shopping at compussuck, went to the boutique down the road for holiday gifts for the family, came home, ate more food, did yoga, and played here.

the day after thanksgiving and i am pooped.
the boyfriend and i have broken our long-standing (five year long standing) rule to never go shopping on the day after thanksgiving.
why?
the boyfriend bought a new motherboard, processor, and other things i don't understand in order to re-build his pc for work purposes. the boy even brought home a wacom pad from work for practice, and now his computer is hosed.
he needs a 12 volt power supply something or other adapter. so off we go to the hopefully not so hugely crowded compusuck, where a friend of ours works. and then off to the little itty bitty boutique for presents for my mum and my sister.
wish us much luck.

so, after not being able to keep a journal for over a year, not being able to be active on the boards, and not showing my lovely mug to the rest of the sg community, i finally decided to shell out my own $48 and get myself a subscription because it's damn worth it.

today is thanksgiving.
frankly, a holiday of which i have never been fond. perhaps it was my twelve years as an expatriat, or prhaps my seven years as a vegetarian. perhaps it was the family drama upon family drama surrounding the thanksgiving day horrendousness.
but here, with the boyfriend and two of my best friends and a belly full of ginger sweet potatoes, i am happy as a clam. and that is just a wonderful thing indeed.
