I looked into Berkelee but I already have a degree and the only way to go there is if you start at square one & get your BA ... or if you have a musical background, which I do not.

I also looked at getting my masters at NYU Steinhardt in their Music Business program but it was WAY too expensive to move there, let alone go to school there or afford to keep living there so I decided not to even apply.

Finally I looked around my home town and found a certification program at SF State. Cost of living isn't low here, but better than in NY, and the industry is less cut-throat than over there. The program is fairly cheap, $600-700 a course, and I am completing it with 9 classes (not too expensive overall) in one year.

Not only is San Francisco a fantastic city, but this program is exactly what I was looking for & I couldn't be happier with my decision to go to SFSU.
