So I'm going to be moving to Michigan sometime this summer, the Grand Rapids area to be exact, for work. My job moved me down here to Cincinnati 3.5 years ago from my home, Chicago. Sniff...sniff.... Anyway, I'm so excited to be getting out of Cincinnati. It sucks here, the entire town has a giant stick up its' collective ass. I know GR is not a booming metropolis or anything, but I'll be much close to home and I really love Michigan. I spent a lot of time there as a kid because we had a summer cottage there. There are lots of reasons I'm looking forward to the move, but I won't bore you with all of them.
My realtor came over yesterday to give me the lay of the land and tell me how much he thinks I can get for my place in this market. Oy vey. I will be jumping up and down if I can get what I paid for it. As of now I am going to rent when I move to MI because I have to make sure I want to stay. However, I've been looking at places and there are some insane deals to be had right now so it's tempting. Meh. I guess I'll be open to both scenarios and see what happens.
Meanwhile...do you know anyone who wants to buy a lovely two bedroom condo in Cincinnati with a great view of the Ohio River and a totally sweet pool? Send 'em my way!
