Anybody here gonna show up at the Saskatoon Tattoo Festival this weekend?
It was not heavily publicized, I just found out about it from my tattoo artists wife. It is gonna be this Saturday and Sunday at Prarieland Exhibition Park. Since baby is in the 'sleep and eat' mode, we will probably be able to show up and will probably even be able to fit a session in possibly. Let us know if any of you are going and maybe we can hook up!! That means you lela and godiva or basically anybody that may be showing up.

The updates went hay-wire with the labour. It was pretty crazy to say the least and after about 40hrs vodka_andhonesty delivered a beautiful 8lb 2oz baby boy at 6:50 am this morning.
We will post more once she is out of the hospital, but here is your first peek.

Long Time No See!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have kind of went AWOL lately and most of you have let me know I gotta keep you informed. Also, my absense isn't due to my taking care of the new baby. It is being stubborn and not wanting to show it's face. vodka_andhonesty was due last thursday so it's gonna be sooner than later. I had a buddy come up this weekend as well to provide the services of his truck to help us move in a new washer and dryer as our went tits up. Better that it happened before baby and not in the first few days of us with the new baby and dealing with cloth diapers for the first time. It was also fun to have one last pisser before becoming a dad. I know it won't be the end of my partying forever, but I think it is gonna put a clamp on it for a while anyways.
So what have you all been doing for shit's and giggles?

So I watched a little bit of the '50 Greatest LOUD Videos' ever on muchLOUD today.
Some were cool, like a couple Tool video's, a lamb of God video.
But, then I felt my will to live being atrophied, and painfully pulled from my body to the sounds of
Billy NOTalent and Alexis ison fire. YUCK. Some of this new music these days makes me sick . Utter fucking crap!!! I felt like an old man watching it, 'You can't even tell what he's screaming' Boo!!! I like my share of uber-aggresive music with screaming ie Pantera, Slayer and Tool. They all scream with clarity and open throughts though. These new fuckin weasels though sound like they are doing their interpretation of screaming with a treacheotomy. No power just indecipherable rasps. And you DO NOT want to get me going on their emo hairdo's. [/music I hate rant]

Good God I need to update this more often. Hmmm, I think that is almost cliche around here. I suppose most people are too busy to blog as much as they think they should. That is no bad thing though, It is much better to be doing things worth writing about than to have nothing to write about.
Fatherhood is FAST approaching and I think I am prepared.
Hopefully I am right.
I have made provisions to work out of the Corporate Office of the company I am working for. That way I will only be a 45 minute drive from home, not 800km's and an indefinate amount of time dependant upon air travel etc. I also hope to meet with an accountant and lawyer to iron out details related to starting my own consulting business. It's time to start making money for myself and not for an antiquated company that has been left behind in today's evolving industry. I know I have at least 2 to 3 years of solid work up here so it will afford me time to network and learn the business side of things before I need to solicit the next project.
So back to the baby. Unlike Mitch Hedburg, I don't like to smoke It's a boy's (I couldn't find a clip with that joke but I'm sure you get the picture). Anyways, I have a colleague at work that lives in Cuba and he brought me this lovely gift to celebrate the occasion:
I think only a few will be smoked on this occassion as these are pretty primo cigars that I don't want people to use as 'Keepsakes'. For your smoking satisfaction only!! He returned to Cuba today and is going to bring me back a bunch of lesser quality cigars for the main celebration. I do not have a whole lot of cigar smoking buddies so if they smoke a $5 stick as opposed to a $70 stick I am sure they won't feel ripped off. They still will be cubans and not dry It's a boy!'s!
I also have a buddy who is looking for a dog and I convinced him to get a bullmastiff as well! He is getting a male so maybe in a year once his little stud is old enough (and our house is mellow enough), we will be able to have a batch of puppies!
Just in case everybody forgot how cute puppies are here are some pictures:

His is a brindle and ours is a red fawn, but I believe the colors stay separate. Might get 2 or 3 fawn and 2 or 3 brindles. Either way they are cute little bastards and it would be a cool experience.
In other news, it has been so cold up here that when it hit -24 here I didn't even wear my main coat to lunch. The liner part was warm enough after freezing my bag off for a few days. Tomorrow is supposed to be -40's again so it is short lived I guess.
Well thats about as much excitement as I care to tell today.
