"no road is too long for him who advances slowly and does not hurry, and no attainment is beyond his reach who equips himself with patience to achieve it." - Jean de La Bruyere
For a person who advances, and does not rush himself on the path he has chosen, he needs to take his time, that way, he or she is able to catch every, little detail and not miss or overlook something important, regardless of how long it takes. And the second part means that no matter what your dreams are, if you want it bad enough, you'll continue along that road, with patience, and not rushing towards it, achieving it when it is meant for you to achieve it, because you have gained the knowledge to do so, by taking your time and now have the ability to reach said dreams.
... not if you die first.
Some things in life have an expiration date.
Some things are just unattainable for some people, and goals should be adjusted accordingly.
I'm not a pessimist mind you.
Monsieur Bruyere expressed a beautiful sentiment though,
the world would be a pretty depressing without hope and optimism.
