For me it would depend. If I knew I could possibly change it, then I would try like hell do so. If I knew putting forth tons of effort to change something would have no effect on it whatsoever, then I would just let it be and try my best to avoid it. Never accept things in which you disagree or do not like. Just agree to disagree and leave it be.
