Agy's blog today actually got me to thinking. About a lot of things. But that's not why you called.

Did you ever think you lived a previous life? Or should have lived in a different era? And what did you do? What would you like to have done?

These are the questions before the house. No cheating off your neighbors' papers.

I would want to go back 125 years and see what it was like. Mainly I want to play dress up and try an original roller coaster haha. And try the food of course.

Yes. I thought about it all the time when i was a kid, because i had a rather rough childhood. As i was raised Buddhist, i was raised with the idea of karma, but being a kid, it wrought me so full of guilt that it kind of turned me into a more-than-usual self loathing teenager. What could i have done in my previous lives that warranted such horror? i was just a kid. It's not like i killed household pets or anything.

My father swears that I am the reincarnation of a woman he knew in Hawaii before he went into the army (at 18). He named me after her, and apparently i lived up to my name. It does, however, make me wonder what the fuck kind of woman she was.

I've never had the sense that I lived a previous life, but I've often thought that I would have liked being a teenager in the 50's. There is just something about that era that has always appealed to me. Not the least of which is the youth revolution that resulted in such incredible music and movies. It seemed a simpler time, less complicated by the whirlwind that our lives have become -- with the constant assault on our senses with television, cell phones, internet (all of which I am completely addicted to). I'm sure I have a romanticized attitude about the 50's, but that's where I'd like to go if I had a time machine.

As for what I'd do when I go there... Well, I'd get a boss car, find a fine gal, take her to a rock & roll show and afterwards, go find find a quiet, out of the way place where we could go park for a while.

this is a bit of a cheat, as the performance is from '64, but the song is from '56.

I think that in an alternate universe I'd have been in films. I'm really drawn to the theatrical; and I always feel a connection with actors whenever they discuss their movie roles.

I picture myself living in the 30's as a blues singer. Interesting part of history, and the was fashion great.
