Life has continued to gobble me up. I am currently working on editing some poems for a friend who is trying to enter some poetry contests in the next few days, then working on 3 new scenes for school, a monologue and Irish dialect for another class, a dance, a stage combat choreography, and a song for my advanced vocal production class.
On top of that, I found an apartment in my budget that I really like and I've applied for it. So, please send out all the good juju you can to help me get this place! I really need a place of my own to live closer to school and work, and this would be my very first place of my own. Ever. The first apartment I will have leased on my own, the first time I'll have lived alone and not with family or family friends, and the first time I'd managed to sign a lease without a cosigner. So, it will be such a wonderful accomplishment for me, and a great next step in things for my adult life. Considering I'm 27, I'm thinking it's about damn time! :D
Anyway, in more playful news I'm very excited for Halloween. I typically celebrate it as Samhain with a harvest feast at home with friends, and setting out an offering plate for wandering spirits, and fresh baked pumpkin pie made from pumpkin I've cooked and pureed myself. There's usually a small ritual blessing done at some point, maybe some divination or tarot card readings for each other, and then fun Halloween movies while we eat dessert and drink delicious mead or ale or wine. Since I don't currently have a real residence where this could be done, I'm not sure at all what I'll be doing. I do know I'll be participating in the costume contest at school, dressed up hopefully as Betty Boop. I'll be sure to get pictures and share!
What is everyone else doing for the holiday?
