I'm a huge fan of Archer, the writing, voice acting, and art style are all superb and the cast seemed like they were having a blast. The Live show itself was a mixed bag, the reenacted scenes were fun but obviously can't compare to the real thing, the bits they performed in the beginning of the show feel a bit too staged but were still enjoyable. Bits like Chris Parnell saying he wrote a new segment and it ending up being an ego stroke for Cyril were cute but didn't quite deliver. Best one was definitely when they brought a bunch of fans up on stage to act out the motions and mouth the dialogue. Highlight being when defibrillators were put into use and the cast kept screaming "Lower!" as Aisha Taylor jumped up to snap a pic with her phone of the lucky audience member getting his and her (happened twice) crotch zapped. Gold.
The show was mainly a blast because the cast and EP looked like they were having so much damn fun. Aisha Taylor kept busting up laughing and Jon Benjamin and Lucky Yates kept cracking inappropriate joke after wildly inappropriate joke. Their answers to the Q&A section was hilarious because they kept just fucking with the audience, also got some great sneak peaks at Season 5.
Lucky Yates was psyched because he worked himself into the opening credits and decided what the fuck, why not go for a Krieger spinoff:
Krieger apparently also branches out into Tentacle porn, so there's that:
All in all a hell of a show, the readings are fun but underwhelming but if you're a fan you'll have a blast watching the cast fuck around on stage, just wish Jessica Walter and Judy Greer were there so I could have gotten my AD fangasm on as well.
