arg! big paper due today! and i can't focus to type! arrrrrgggg!

wow, it has been a long time, hasn't it? my bad.

i'm almost through midterms, and i have a paper to write by tuesday. so if i can make it through this week, i just might be able to survive the semester. then i just have two more papers, one of which is a massive research project. so, one step at a time, i suppose.

i'm finding that rock hill in and of itself is pretty lame. the biggest consolation is that charlotte's not far away, but the on;y place i really know how to get to there it either school or the comic shop. but i guess between work and school, i don't really have much time for a social life. for about the next 3-5 years. at least i'm starting to make some more friends, so that helps out a lot.

it's just hard sometimes. most of my friends are married or getting married. sometimes i just wrapped up in the whole self pity thing, asking when is my time, blah blah blah. it'll happen. i know it will. i'm just impatient. whatev.

um...school is going well, but i already have a paper due next week, so i should be doing that right now...

i finally found a job, and i am so excited! it'll be nice to pay bills again...

and i'm finally starting to meet some new friends, so i'm so very excited about that. moving to a new place can be pretty lonely...

i'll have to do it later, though. i gots to read for my schoolin!

well, i had my first day of class today. and it looks like i have my work cut out for me this semester. ugh. i didn't really stop to think about all the papers i'd have to write. but i guess that's why it's grad school, and not free-master's-degree school. although, that would be sweet...

man, being back in charleston was so amazing. i would even say refreshing. just to see (almost) everyone and hang out, play video games, eat some waffles. good times. and adam and shaina's wedding was awesome. complete with a har metal version of pachelbel's canon. good times, indeed!

so, i'm packing my stuff to move to rock hill. if anyone is ever in the rock hill/charlotte area, drop me a line. maybe we'll get some waffles...

here's how the next week and a half will sorta play out.

i leave arkansas directly after work wednesday morning, with a 5 1/2 drive back to memphis. pack, do laundry, etc, etc.

thursday mornin, head for spruce pine, nc to surprise the youth at tvr. i miss my kids. and by my kids, i mean the kids i taught.

saturday, leave for charleston, but make a layover in charlotte. give brother matt some rent money, put in some job apps, square away any loose ends i can with school. then make the remainder of the trip down to charleston sometime that afternoon/evening.

sunday, church, lunch with mom and aunt jan. afternoon, i dunno, but maybe some wild wings that night? eh?

monday, i think i'm gonna visit my dad for a bit. rest of the day is open.

tuesday, open until night. i wanna go to band practice at church.

wednesday, more than likely, church most of the day. lunch with the schley. youth group that night. afterwards, who knows?

thursday open until waffle.

friday open till rehearsal dinner for the adam and the shaina.

saturday, wedding. i'm gonna party hard. you know it. yeah. you.

sunday, church and lunch afterwards. spend some afternoon time with mom and aunt jan probably. that night, i dunno. i hope to fit in as many people as i can during the week.

monday, leave for memphis.

and consequently, anyone who wants to help load a moving truck on wednesday the 15th (in memphis) would be greatly appreciated. and in charlotte, anyone who wants to unload a moving truck on the 16th would be awesome as well.

i had already read it, but i needed to own it. but i just thought it was cool they interviewed the dude whose book i had just bought!

on a side note, the roller derby was awesome. i'm about to put my photos (from my crappy camera) on photobucket, so i need to put them here, too. i hope to, eventually.
