Sick for the new year... great. I guess it's a good thing I didn't have any plans anyway.

I've recently become obsessed with things of the steam-punk variety. I'm not sure what it is that has drawn me in, but I've very intrigued.

Today, I made a bow tie and finished a skinny tie. My guy friends are going to love me this Christmas.

The snow keeps coming! It's looking more like my snow day will happen tomorrow!

I've been feeling rather lonely lately. All of my friends are either married or in serious relationships (i'm single) and with those marriages and serious relationships come other friends and other things to do that don't include me. And I'm sure it's easy enough to find new friends but it's kind of sad when the one's you love don't have time for you anymore. I mean, when you're single and your friends abandon you... it's just lonely...

Well, I'm finally in the 30's club. WOO HOO.

Have I mentioned here, that I've been doing a bit of sewing? I received a sewing machine for Christmas a few years ago, and just this year I've started using it. I actually like sewing and have become pretty good at it. I mean I'm no Vera Wang, but I think I do ok.

So, I have a pretty big birthday coming up (i still have a month to go but it's on my mind). I won't reveal what age... But it's a big one. And I want to do something... out of the ordinary. The problem is... I don't know what... suggestions?
