I know I'm not much of a blogger when it comes to this site, and it seems I mainly blog to complain about things. I don't mean to, and I don't come looking for sympathy, but the people here actually seem to care, plus it helps for me to get things off my chest.
My girlfriend and I are in a long distance relationship. She lives in Boston and I live in a small town in Minnesota that no one has ever heard of. The closest towns that people might have heard of are either Rochester or Minneapolis/St. Paul. We visit each other a few times a year. One time she'll come here and another time I'll go there. Today she left after being with me for a week. I won't get into details but I will post a couple photos of us from the trip.
We've been together for almost six years and have been going back and forth throughout that whole time. We've been trying our best to have one move in with the other, but unfortunately we haven't had much luck. We're hoping no later than 2020. That might seem a bit far off, but given our situation, which I'd rather not get into, it's a reasonable time frame. We both realize that in a way it would be easier if we were with people who lived closer to us, but we both love each other so much that we'd be miserable without each other. As we get back into 'normal life' grooves the sting of leaving wears off, but currently it's quite painful, thank you for reading.
