Okay, so I'm trying not to come on here so often. We just got the hugest internet bill ever! It costs us a fortune to go online, we have to pay for each mega bite we download, and it's expensive. The connection is really slow too, so watching sets here is near impossible. frown
I think I've given up my ambitions of going pink. It won't work without the proper gear and stuff, and who am I kidding, I'm not exactly a model and I don't know how to pose! biggrin Never the less, I've had great fun shooting the sets that I have and all the feed-back I've received has been much appreciated.

We're going on vacation to Denmark in November, I can't wait. The company is paying for my ticket because I have to take a course for 2 days. How great is that! smile
Can't wait to see my family, go horse riding and shop till I drop! Yeah! Damn, I sound shallow! biggrin Gotta go see our tattoo guy as well. He hasn't updated his homepage for 2 yrs. It sux. I need to finish my tat. Won't be this time though. We're also gonna go see another tattooist. She's really good, does excellent pin-ups. I have a new tat in mind, René will draw it for me roughly and then this girl can do it proper. I just gotta figure out where to put it...

*wanders off to think*

It is so great to finally have a proper job with a proper pay!
I've now had my first night shift and it went well, although I was a bit bored. biggrin
I came in at midnight, was releived at 7 in the morning, the next shift was from 18:00 to midnight and now I have a shift from 10-18, although I'll probably be let off earlier than that because there's not a lot of traffic on Sundays.
It's a bit hard with the double shifts but at least I only have to endure them one month, then the 4 other trainees should be done and then we're enough people.

To my friends in the States: if you were to "sell" a state or city, to convince someone why they should choose that place to live in, where would it be and why would you suggest that place?
Just wondering coz we've talked some times about moving to the States some day, but there are so many cool places and we wouldn't know what to choose.

*WOOT*

I passed my final test yesterday! Yeah! *jumps around with arms over head*

I am now a certified FIC-operator. How cool is that!

I was so friggin nervous about the thing, we had a gazillion aircrafts going in to one specific airport where it's normal to have less than half that amount of traffic. Also there were some unusual situations for me, but that's the part that makes this job really fun. smile

Can't believe I'm finally DONE! Wauw....
I have today off, tomorrow I start working shifts like all my instructor. Nifty. smile And night shifts as well. I can't wait....

Well, I uploaded it for a Second chance. Go check it out and leave a comment if you wish:

I've become addicted...
To this:

My set's still pending review. I'm not a very patient person... I'm beginning to prepare for rejection once again.

They've received my set and it is pending review. I'm keeping my fingers crossed but expecting the worst.

Still waiting to know from SG that they received my set. I'm guessing they'll reject it. The lighting is probably too overexposed or something. I thought I'd give it a shot anyway since I liked it. Probably not enough facial expressions either.

Work is well. I have my final test on August 1st. I'm nervous but my boss says I shouldn't be. He said I'd pass tomorrow if the examiner came. Doesn't help, I'm still nervous. biggrin Not so much for the actual test (well, I just have to do what I do all the time, and the examiner sits behind me. Afterwards he'll ask some theoretical questions that I shouldn't have any problems answering correctly), it's more that once I have my certificate I no longer have an instructor next to me as a safety net, and I'll start having night shifts where I'll be all alone and what if somethings happens or I'll have a situation that I haven't seen before during training.

Oh, well. I'm a wuz....

Considering taking 10-14 days off in Nov or Dec and go to DK to visit my family and my much missed horsey.

I still like it here, but... Well, it's annoying that food is so expensive and you can't always get vegies and fruit. And the stuff you do get isn't very fresh. When they have cucumbers they're all mushy. The price of one litre of yoghurt is 4 times what it costs in DK. Sad. I know it has to be flown in here and stuff, but it's still really expensive. Plus, we only have one shop so he can set the prices as high as he wants, where else should we go....

I also miss fast internet that doesn't cost a fortune. We just got our internet bill, damn! eeek Oh, well. When I get my certificate, I will also get a considerable raise. biggrin

Must be time for a new blog.
I'm not so active around here anymore. It also has something to do with the extremely slow internet connection we have here, I don't have the patience to wait for the pages to load.

René got a job as a part-timer at airport security. It's fun to see him in a uniform with a tie, not exactly the clothes I'm used to seeing him wear! smile He looks great, though. He has to take his ear plugs out, it looks weird when you can just see the big holes. I love those plugs.

We shot 2 sets at a waterfall that's about 20 mins drive and 45 mins walk away from here. It's not a real waterfall, but a place where the cliffs narrow in and the melting water from the icecap is pushed through at high speed. It's a real gorgeous place, I'm totally in love with it. The first one was shot on a cloudy day so the pics were too dark. The second one we've submitted by snail mail to SG and now I have to wait and see what they say. I'm actually quite proud of it. So even if it gets rejected, at least we have a nice memory to look back at.

Work is going great. I had a small period where my learning curve was stagnating, or even deteriorating, but I'm back on track and my confidence is there again. I really really love this job! It's so nice finally to have found my path in life, ya know? Finally, I'm happy with what I'm doing, I was beginning to worry that would never happen.

Well, I have some cooking to attend to. I'll see if I have the patience to upload some pics later.

Okay, so it's been a while since I've written a blog. I've been busy since my man arrived. biggrin
It's really great having him here, and the cats as well. They all like it here. We were also so lucky to get another flat that is a lot bigger than the one we had in Denmark so that's really great. We have wall-to-wall carpets and the cats absolutely love it, they can run around like maniacs without falling down because they can dig their claws into the carpet. -Which also makes the apartment the world's biggest scratching-post! biggrin

My 3 other colleagues came on the 29th. It's great having the whole group together, now I really don't feel alone anymore. René is also enjoying himselves. We've been on several nature walks, seeing musk oxes and reindeer (or are they called caribu?).

The summer has arrived and we can walk around in shorts and t-shirts (not that I've brought any summer-like clothes, I thought I would freeze my ass off). The ship with our belongings has arrived and now we have to wait for it to load off so we can get our stuff. That will be great, to have a proper tv and our stereo so we can listen to music! Awesome.

I'm doing really well at work, and more important is that I really love my job. I think it's the greatest job in the world and I don't know what I would do if I don't complete the training and get my license. -But I will. wink

I'm actually considering cancelling my membership here. Maybe I'll give it one more try for a photoset, but if I fail once again it's an obvious sign that I shouldn't be here. Although I love talking to my friends here, I'm not online so often and I'm not very active around the site.

I'll end with some pics...

Today is the day my man arrives. I'm so excited, I could barely sleep! I'm all jittery and a tad nervous. It's so great! smile
