So... I just took a bunch of sexy naked photos of my friend in the middle of Central Avenue on the Light Rail tracks with cars driving by. She loved it. I loved it. It was pretty amazing. I've never really done anything like that before but we were both really interested to see how much of a rush it could be and it was amazing. The photos arent' exactly uber professional because I'm not quite there yet but they turned out pretty good. I also have to say it was one of the craziest things I've ever done. If she's open to it, I'll post a few...

Happy New Year friends!!! What an absolutely crazy last few months this has been. Good, but crazy. Resolutions this year? I kind of dislike that word actually... how about goals? Yes, goals:
1. Find out a way to make more money doing what I'm loving, aka, my new job.
2. When #1 is complete, head back to Europe for a few weeks.
3. While in Europe, hang out with an SG friend or two.
4. Snap off some great photos and post them on SG like I seem to forget to do lately.
I'm off to the Sonic Youth show tomorrow with my roommate! Sweet! My ticket says Thursday, January 5th, 2010 though. I wonder how many they oversold based on the fact that the fictitious date is going to screw up a lot of people................. LAME ticket sales people!!!!! Shame on you.

This song was quoted by my late friend's uncle the other day. He mistakenly referred to it as an original Johnny Cash song but we'll let that slide for sake of conversation... I think at this moment I understand these lyrics more than ever before.
What do you all think of this version? Something is just so apparently flattering about such an amazing musician doing a cover of NIN... not to mention the lyrical topic and the fact that Johnny Cash was approaching the end of his life at this point. Anyway, I just really like this cover and it's got even more meaning to me now.

I try not to be too negative on here... but I've had two friends die over the last three weeks... so it makes things a little difficult. That's also why I've been a little bit MIA. All I know are rumors at this point, but my first friend may have accidentally overdosed right before she was due to enter rehab. She was one of the most beautiful girls I've ever known.
My second friend was mysteriously murdered last Saturday at 4:30am. Some of you Arizona peeps might have read about it in the news.

I also love my new job. I've always been fascinated by how the human mind works and I've always been a big people watcher. Now I get to learn how people develop as adolescents and work to help them overcome problems. It's fantastic. I love my job.
I also love my side job in marketing.
In fact, I rarely plug anything but if you're a woman and you have a moment I could really use your help on a market research poll I'm doing for a woman's health product!

So... my big news. I got a new job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, two at the same time actually if you can believe it.
*Cue the fireworks and champagne toast*
I'm super excited about them. I started both over the last few weeks. I'll be a case manager for troubled teens and kiddos who have issues they're working through and I'll facilitate meeting with their adult support group and seek out any type of medical / therapy / outside of the box help they might need. This will help to get them back on the "right track".
In addition, I'll be doing marketing / PR / event planning on the side with a good friend of mine. We've already signed our first client.
Basically I've found a way to make money doing all of the things I love - and while it's not a lot of money currently, that shouldn't be an issue. Saying I feel very lucky and happy right now would be an understatement. I'm ecstatic!
My only issue now will be finding enough hours to sleep... lol.
Anyway, good times SG peeps. I hope you are also doing well.
