I enjoy watching porn. I am a fairly sexually open 19 year old young man and I see nothing wrong with watching willing individuals have sexual intercourse. I think most of you on this site would probably agree with me. However, a few days ago I watched the movie "Requiem for a Dream" starring Jared Leto and Jennifer Connelly. If you have not see this brilliant movie, I highly recommend it. It is fucking fantastic. Anyway, there is a scene near the end of the film where Ms. Connelly anally fucks a dildo ass to ass with another woman on a table in front of a large crowd of male executives. Connelly is a heroine junkie who is desperate for a fix, so she willingly sells her body for the drugs. This is one of the most intense and disturbing scenes I have ever watched on screen.
The scene evoked incredible emotion within me. I watched to castrate every single one of the misogynistic suits cheering these two poor women on. I was very disgusted by these suiting wearing animals. So, back to porn. I began to think that this scene is not too terribly different from some hardcore porno. I do not mean to say that all women who star in porn must be junkie looking for a fix. I am sure many are responsible adults who see porn as a legitimate career choice. When I watch Jenna Jameson perform, I know she is not doing it for a quick high. She is a successful business woman, but I am afraid that many of the young girls in porn are only there because they have no other means of supporting themselves and their possible habit. I feel like they are being used and degraded. I am disturbed by the thought that maybe as I sit alone in front of my computer screen jerking off, I am really getting off to abused and vulnerable women, and not the strong sexually free women I imagine.
Since watching "Requiem for a Dream," I have not looked at porn. I am not sure when I will be able to again. I have always really enjoyed it, but now I cannot get over the idea that the women...
