It snowed all deep-like last night.
Anyone up for pond hockey this weekend?

The comfort of a knowledge of a rise above the sky above could
never parallel the challenge of an acquisition in the here and now.

Letters to Cleo - I never knew what they were saying there until now.

Thank Jesus!
Xmas is about over!
The only thing left to do is go sledding,
play Euchre, and drink drink drink!

I bought a special ladyfriend the most awesomest Festivus present ever. At least I think it is. Whatever, my "shopping" is done.

7. guys' night out
Little Known Fact: Boy's night out needn't exclude all women, just irritable wives and angry girlfriends.
3. An opportunity for the male to compare drinking, gaming and ridiculing abilities agains his peers, as well as conduct live field tests of his attractiveness to the opposite sex, without interference from significant others which would cloud the results.

Got up early to do my laundry. Figured I'd pre-wash most of it in the bathtub first, seeing as how it was covered in foodstuffs, mostly batter. Then I walked it all to the laundromat which was CLOSED for the first time ever. They were open fom 8am to 10pm on Thanksgiving Day, but they weren't open yesterday at noon. Fuckers. By the time I got home the ends of my pantlegs were frozen. Now I have a big bag of wet laundry.

So I got together with my pals and went bowling. Once I realized I'm a rotten bowler, I decided to just get really really drunk instead. Thank God I have the day off.

I did all my xmas shopping in about 45 minutes at the Meijers yesterday. But now I'm broke. I should probably tell the family that I'm not coming home.

This kinda snow sucks. It's all wet and heavy and crappy and way too bright outside. If it's gonna be winter, at least give me pond hockey and ice fishing, dammit.

Well, a friend of mine named Steve Goodman wrote that song,
and he told me it was the perfect country and western song.
I wrote him back a letter and I told him it was not the
perfect country and western song because he hadn't said
anything at all about momma, or trains, or trucks,
or prison or gettin' drunk. Well, he sat down and
wrote another verse to this song and he sent it to me and
after reading it I realized that my friend had written the
perfect country and western song. And I felt obliged to include
it on this album. The last verse goes like this here:

Well, I was drunk the day my momma got out of prison,
And I went to pick her up in the rain.
But before I could get to the station to pick her up in my pick-up truck
She got runned over by a damned old train

This ol' highway's getting longer
Seems there ain't no end in sight
To sleep would be best, but I just can't afford to rest
I've got to ride in Denver tomorrow night

I called the house but no one answered
For the last two weeks no one's been home
I guess she's through with me, to tell the truth I just can't see
What's kept the woman holding on this long

And the white line's getting longer and the saddle's getting cold
I'm much too young to feel this damn old
All my cards are on the table with no ace left in the hole
I'm much too young to feel this damn old

The competition's getting younger
Tougher broncs, you know I can't recall
The worn out tape of Chris LeDoux, lonely women and bad booze
Seem to be the only friends I've left at all

It's Family Game Night on Burr Oak!
I'm gonna kick some ass at Clue.
And don't even get me started about my Uno Face.
