So I've been producing a short comedy that we were planning on showing at the Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor in April. Everything has been going pretty well. We got funding, equipment, and set a shooting schedule about a month ago. We were even able to find actors who fit the roles really well.
This weekend would have been the second weekend of the three weekend shoot. We have two separate businesses lined up to loan us space for the day. So far so good.
And now, after we've already shot over half of the script with our actors, one of the leads has bailed on us for this weekend. The movie needs to be completely finished by March 25th (edited and everything). We were already cutting it close, by counting on shooting the last scene and any exteriors on the weekend of March 10th and 11th (the only other weekend the director is available for shooting after this one).
What the fuck do I do now? This isn't logistically possible. And since I'm complaining, I may as well mention the fact that I also need to finish two 6 page close analysis essays before noon tomorrow. Sweet.
