Change might be coming sooner then I was thinking................in more ways then 1???? will see
So I was told to update this here blog thing...............I really don't have much to write about, but I guess I can figure out something to say..............................
SO I have been working for 5 years now with the same band, I am pretty much ready to hang it up and get a steady gig at a venue so I can be home more times then not. I also feel with a gig at a venue I will be x-posed to a more diverse selection of music. Be given more opportunities to learn and develope what I have learned over these past 5 years. I don't have any bad feelings towards the members of the band I am with I just feel as if my time of learning has come to a stand still with them. I have not really had any gigs where I run into issues where I have to use my brain very much. I have given myself until I am 30 to work in the music business and if I am still living pay check to pay check and not able to save anything (Like the past 5 years have done to me, but I was in a learning stage, Now I have to knowledge to hold my own in this business) I am going to head in a different direction. Not really sure what that direction will be but I still have some time to figure that part out.
Well if anyone reads this I thank you and good night

Well it's 2007 and I am baked out of my mind, sittin at home all alone just like every year for the past 3. I will never be able to explain it to a normal person, no one understands and never will......................FUCK OFF
Well for anyone who reads this, which I'm pretty sure is not a whole lot of people. These are my last days of having any kind of access to the internet until the start of September. I am heading back out on the road once again. If you care to see where I will be please check out this link..................BAND NAME HERE.........................I know this is not the typical music type listened to by the loverly people of this on-line community but I have been working with these guys for about 5 years now. I bet they can party just as good if not better then a lot of the "bands" of today. Maybe not all of the members but there are at least 5 of us that can hold our own. If any of you decide to come check us out I will be at the helm making them sound amazing....................Well that is pretty easy to do since the talent that is in this band is unreal. So stop by the sound board and say hey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Later.......................................

Later.......................................

So I have been out on the road now pretty much since the middle of April, I have had very few days off. It's kinda nice but at the same time very tiring and stressful. I really don't remember much. However I do remember consuming lots of beer, Jack Daniels and any type of Vodka offered. In mid February our Front of House guy (Sound Engineer) left to follow another career path. I am now the FOH Engineer for a 15 Piece Orchestra.

Not really my type of music, but you know what, when your first starting off trying to get into the music business you kinda have to take the jobs that come your way, or you might get left behind. All in all I have come to the realization that a musician will be a musician no matter what type of music they play. Also these guys are the tightest players I have ever had the opportunity to work with.
Here is a small list of places I have had the chance to visit since getting this job almost 4 years ago........

Well kiddies, I have just returned home from my first Nine Inch Nails show......I know it's lame but you know what it was well worth the wait.
SO Saul Williams was pretty amazingSaul
He played for about a half hour.......then NIN finaly went on about 8:45 or so............played a blistering 2 hour set no breaks no bull shit........I wish I could remember the set list but I can tell you it was pretty much all old shit. I will try and list all the songs no special order cause that would require to much brain capacity right now........
Sin
Head Like A Hole
Everyday Is Exactly The Same
Only
Hand That Feeds
Closer
March Of The Pigs
Piggy
Hurt
Starfuckers, Inc.
Suck
The Day The World Went Away
The Frail
The Line Begins To Blur
The Wretched
Wish
Eraser
There might have been more but Fuck it was my first time seeing them live so I was a bit overwhelmed to remember every song.......ALL I do know is that it is definitaly in the top 5 concerts of all time for me and I have seen many of shows............I will post some pics tomorrow hopefully....since my digital cam busted I had to resort to the good old disposable one......
As for the show itself.......I was about 5 feet from the stage and the sound quality was freakin amazing.....I have been to so many shows and been that close and not been able to hear a goddamn thing......Every word and every note of every song was clear as day as if I was listening to the damn CD.......Trent looked and sounded amazing, he appologized about half way into the set for haveing to re-schedule the show, I thought that was really cool, Not many Bands take full responcability like that anymore........Jeordie White was killer on that bass as usual even when he was playing with Marilyn Manson.......Josh Freeze riped the skins like I have never heard done in a very very very long tme.........Arron North shreaded the 6 string like it was going out of style......and Alessandro Cortini fucked with the synths like I have never heard live before......... All in all the only regret I have is not getting the chance to see them live before tonight
