me and my girlfriend were wondering if it is true that when you get your nipples pierced to you lose a large portion of the sensation in them? can anyone help me with this question?

I would say it's the opposite. My nipples ended up being more sensitive after getting them pierced. I once heard that it was from the piercing doubling the nerve endings by splitting the ones that are already there.
