I had a BLAST at Bats Day in The Fun Park in Anaheim last weekend! However, my spirit was dampened severly when I got home and heard about the sheer devestation that happened in the Gulf Coast and New Orleans. It's beyond sad. I am doing my best, however, to help out in any way I can. I've already donated some money and am working on sorting through my closet for clothes I can easily get rid of.

God...it's a HOT motherfucking day here in Southern California. I wish I were closer to the ocean, so I can catch a cool breeze. Instead, I'm stuck in the Inland Empire (Riverside County) where all we get is the smog from LA and OC, along with the heat.

I wanna move back to the Pacific Northwest!

Geez...I haven't posted anything here since March???? Talk about lazy! Anway...not much exciting really ever happens out her in So.Cal's "Inland Empire", unless you count exploding meth labs and running off hookers in Lake Elsinore with missing teeth.

The big concert I'm planning for this summer is OZZFEST in Devore. I can't wait to see Black Sabbath and Rob Zombie again. Until then though, I'm going to see two "classic rock" concerts...Tomorrow, the Steve Miller Band. I'm kinda unsure about that. I like some of their songs, but I doubt the energy level will be anything spectacular. Next weekend will be HEART. Now, I've loved HEART since I was a kid in Washington State. Can't wait to see them!

Best concert I saw this year was Blackmore's Night. Simply amazing stuff! Runner up was King Diamond/Nile/Black Dahlia Murder/Behemouth. Bad ass shit as well, but for completely different reasons.

I hear HIM will be coming through for another tour this Fall, so that will be highly anticipated in my household!!!!!

Oher updates??? Oh, yeah...I almost had a friggin heart attack in early June. That means I gotta be a good boy and get serious about my health. I'm already a lacto-ovo vegetarian, so that helps, but I love junk food too much for my own good. I also need to get to the gym. I've gained way too much weight and it's not cool. Right now, I'm on the Abs Diet. In one month, I lost 11 pounds just from dietary changes!

My biggest highlight since last posting was attending Convergence 11 in San Diego! This event is a gathering of .net goths from across the globe. My wife is rather goth and I've always idenitified with the goth subculture...my Pacific Northwest upbringing (gloomy weather) and my penchant for horror movies and the mystical pretty much molded my personality into a somewhat "dark" outlook. The next convergence is being held in New Orleans! Check it out! Loads of gothic fun!
