Ok, messed up my ankle. Stuck in South London at the moment, wish I was anywhere else.
It has its advantages and disadvantages (being home when injured), like free roast dinner, but I need to step outside to smoke and when your mobility's impaired, that sucks. I can't post pictures as all of my cameras are either in Huddersfield or mainland Europe (long story). Amy seems so much further away, despite the fact that we're not really any father away now than we are when I'm in Hudds and she's in Salford's, as I pretty much loose a day in either direction, it just feels so much further because I know I could (technically) be with her in 3 hours from Huddersfield via public transport and possibly a lot quicker with a map reader and a car.
It's been two days since I injured it, the doctors assure me there's nothing broken (and I've seen the x-rays, so I'm inclined to believe) so rather than trying to keep weight off of it totally, I'm just going with the wincing/swearing and walking cane option. It's so much better today than I was yesterday (despite the fact that it's now aubergine, interestingly enough even that's fading), I have a good feeling that I should be able to leave on Tuesday at the latest, and frankly missing out of bank holiday M25 traffic's probably a blessing in disguise.
Coulsdon Skatepark Project's finally moving because I've been bossing the hell out of them, mailto: Coulsdon.Skatepark.Project@hotmail.com, and a Myspace (I'm assured) is being set up, application packs for a fundraiser have been applied for, and Barry Lambton, the Green Spaces Guy whose permission we will require it seemingly totally onboard. When I know what various addresses are I'll post them especially as we'll need signatures and the more we can get that say they would want a Kettering Style Plaza, within half an hour of central London, especially internationally that'd be wonderful. Look out for articles in Kingpin and Sidewalk as things progress.
Peace
Bob
