Are you strong?
For me strength is not measured by one feat or act, but by many small ones.
It is sometimes easier to leap a tall building or stop a moving train once and be called a hero, than to live life everyday with strength and conviction. A unending will to live is a strength the can uproot the largest trees and move mountains. It is the greatest of strengths, we are the ones who finish what we start and usually pick up the pieces of the building and put the train back on the track so people can get home.
Remember not to try to only be a person with great physical strength, but be a person with inner strength and endurance.

I was recently told that a bend in the road is not the end of the road unless you don't turn . . . never be afraid of change embrace it. It can be good or it can be bad, either way it is different . . . complacency is death.
As a friend recently pointed out (thanks Kay), I have been a stranger to my blog. Life has been a bit busy and just recently slowed down (got laid off). I am taking a few days to figure out my next steps and although I know I will be working quickly, I want to carefully choose my next direction.
Today's words of wisdom are to cherish each day. As just recently said to me about time (specifically in relation to my children) days are sometimes very long, but years are far to short. You can either embrace time and use it or it will pass you by.

So it has been a while since me last post. Been really busy.
Here is my thought of the day.
Is it better to be a very full figured woman and happy with yourself, than a thinner woman (still very attractive) and miserable with your appearance?
When will people start to figure out that people and especially women are like cars. They come in all shapes and sizes and each needs to be appreciated for its individual beauty instead of compared to the perceived public standards of perfect.
Perfection in truly achieved with acceptance of oneself and the understanding that every little difference and imperfection makes us special. . . . makes us perfect.
Scozzman out.

So i finally came across a fortune cookie fortune that does not fit the 'in bed' game. It was actually quite the opposite. It said "It isn't your position, but your disposition that makes you happy . . . in bed". Although I am a firm advocate for a positive disposition, I think your position has more to do with happiness in bed.
Let me know if you have had any good fortune lately.

New question of the day.
Is it better to address a problem or situation head on regardless of people and feelings, skirt around it till you eventually find a solution or ignore it and hope it goes away?
Do you ignore the white elephant in the room till it starves to death or ride that bitch all the way home?
I am a rider.

So the question came up again today. Would you rather be loved or feared?
Thought it worthy of a second ask with all of my new friends.

So with the start of the new year my resolution is to be a kinder soul. I am a bit harsh to people in my everyday life and it was starting to rub off on my family. I want to make an effort to be a bit nicer. The world has enough sarcastic assholes, it could use a few more nice people.
So I am away on business and figured that I would send out a question of the day.
So from my hotel room in Vegas here it goes.
I was sitting watching all of the people stroll by this evening and noticed a prostitute walk by and the judgmental looks she received. So my question has two parts:
1.) Who is better the prostitute who sells her goods and makes no bones about it or the people that walk by and lie to themselves and think 'well I never!'?
2.) Is it better to make people pay for sex with cash rather that other less tangible methods?
I mean we all pay for sex one way or another, whether with cash or a spouse/significant other using it a leverage to get the trash put out.
Just a thought from an old married man who is being good while Vegas.

OK, the question of the day.
When holding on to true power in your life is it better to be loved or feared by those you have that power over?
