I'm home from the UK Pearl tour. The EP is out now on iTunes and Amazon. It's my side project with Pearl and Mother Superior. It's a fucking rock record. Jerry Cantrell and Ted Nugent play on it as well.
Here's the links:
iTunes: http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewArtist?id=3449833 (It's the Pearl - EP, not the Malaysian Hip Hop thing)
Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Pearl/dp/B000XXOE2E/ref=sr_f3_5/105-9613450-4258827?ie=UTF8&s=dmusic&qid=1194389651&sr=103-5

I took this picture in London. Do I ever need to take another picture again?zoom image

That picture is amazing! Call me a dork, but I met you once when my band was on tour with Goldfinger. We played at the HOB in L.A. and you played SMP with Goldfinger that night. We also hung out with Cory Feldmann of all people. My point....I wish I had a picture to prove it.

Based on your comment about the new ETID album on your newest article, I wanted to ask you (although I'm sure you're already heard of this band, since they melt faces) if you had heard Valient Thorr.

I love ETID a lot, but I felt like they took a huge cue from Valient Thorr after they were tourmates on Warped '06 (in fact, the song "Inrihab" uses almost the EXACT same Valient Thorr formula). They're an incredible southern metal band and in my opinion the best "new" band out right now.

Drop me a line if you get a chance to check em out.

Oh it IS that Scott Ian! A few things...

Hello! My chiropractor hates you for all the damage the metal years did to me neck/head! But it was worth it!

Kudo's for keeping the Anthrax name alive when the scare happened!!! Hey, just had to say it!

Kudo's for making my guitar instructor in buffalo, NY jealous 'cause he was pissed that a former high school peer made it and he didn't! This was late '80's. And he wouldn't teach me any Anthrax stuff. Oh the little minded! biggrin

Look forward to hearing the tracks.

oh and.... DUDE!!!!

Scott Ian is on SG - life is good!

I went to the amazon link to check out your other band and there are all these Pearl Jam reviews on the page for Pearl. It's kind of funny if you ask me.

I'm sure you already know this, but you are a lucky man to know Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler. Not sure if you are a fan of his but Henry Rollins has a hilarious story about dying and going to hell only to find that Tony Iommi is Satan himself... it's funny as hell!

Welcome!

Love your food column! When I travel I think the food is almost the most important part of the journey

And it is so nice to see someone else that appreciates Edward Gorey.
Do you have "The Curious Sofa - a pornographic work by Ogdred Weary"? Soooooooo funny and the best illustrations ever!

I've heard of Valient Thorr. I will check'em out.
Yes, I'm a Rollins fan, don't know that story. Which book?
I have the Curious Sofa.
Cheers,
Scott
