Strange dream last night.

I woke up on morning, went outside and found a small cockatiel in a tree, which then flew down to me. For those that do not know, I have two cockatiels. This one was so happy and friendly that I just couldn't give it up, so I got a little tupperware box and set it up in the with blankets, food, etc and put it in my car, since I was now leaving school at the semester break and heading home (where my two cockatiels were staying). So off I go, meet up with some friends, and then the journey turns perilous. Someone has broken into some security files on the super secret secure servers and I and my group had to figure out who. Now, throughout this whole time, I'm carrying around this tupperware box (about 14x8x6) and am trying to keep the cockatiel inside it and covered with a towel so he won't fly away, and now it's freezing cold outside. The bird gets coated, somehow, in a sticky substance to I have to clean him, I fill a sink with water and he jumps in, and sinks straight to the bottom where I can see little bubbles coming out of his nostrils. I fish him out, dry him off and put him back in the box, crisis averted. Meanwhile we find out that is an Asian syndicate that has broken the files, off we go. We find them and then are attacked ... by twin 8 year olds who know amazing ways to kill people. They disable my group and take the cockatiel, putting him in a little bottle which they fill with some nasty fluid. Am I concerned about my people? No. But I AM really worried about the bird, so I figure a way to stop the twins, open the bottle and rescue the bird, who was again blowing little drowning bubbles from his nostrils, and, again, have to clean him off. This time I'm smart and run the water in the sink without plugging the drain so he won't drown. Except now he falls into the drain and I barely pull him out by his topknot. Dry him off, put him in his box, cover him...

And I wake up. Now, 99% of my dreams are strange, violent, terrifying, and disturbing, so I am no stranger to them. And I have many dreams about my cockatiels. We've interpreted them in my dreams as one of two things, depending on the dream. 1) I feel I have not been paying enough attention to them and so I am feeling like a bad person. Solution: I pay more attention to them. If I do not, I keep having the dreams until I do. 2) There is some aspect of my life, something I like doing, that I have neglected doing lately. Solution: I need to figure out what it is and decide if I really miss it. If I do not figure it out I keep having these dreams. My subconscious is VERY persistent.

Today I feel a bit out of sorts from that, as I try to figure out what it is I feel I'm missing. Usually if I feel I'm neglecting the birds the dreams involve me suddenly remembering that I haven't fed the birds in days. Just in case, I'll spend lots of time with the stinkers tonight and tomorrow when I am working from home.

And that's my dream. Hope your dreams were much happier.

That is a pretty intricate dream. I know I definitely dream but I don't remember mine in any detail at all. Do you act out your dreams? Like this guy:

I haven't been recalling my dreams this week, but I'm fairly confident they are either job-hunt related or "Asheville" related, seeing as how those are the only things occupying my time lately.
