Its amazing how good a new summer dress can make you feel!
Even when it's not really Summer, and the weather outside isn't really even pretending to be Summer (overcast today, with sprinkles of rain which I still find delightful!). Theres just something so gorgeous about lightweight, pretty, flowing dresses. Oh I cant wait until it warms up a little so I can wear them more often!
I'm going to see my friend Kerrie today. She's probably my closest friend since high school, but we don't get to see each other a lot these days so I'm super stoked to see her today! We're going to have lunch and start hunting around the costume shops for something to wear to my party next weekend.
I couldn't decide between fire and ice for so long. I thought I might just give up and wear all red & orange or something, but nope, I'm the host I have to to make the effort! Especially since I'll be the one bagging you all if you don't!
I'm learning (very slowly) how to use garageband on this computer. It's pretty cool being able to record scratch takes just here at home, it's funny but I havent been able to do that for such a long time! And I'm finding it really handy to have another medium for my writing - I love my guitar, but it's hard to write electric dance songs on the old gee-tar. Speaking of electric dance, my band just put down another song last weekend at rehearsal based on a riff that had been going around and around in my head all week. It's great hearing it come into fruition! And having other people there who can add to it, after so long of playing alone in my room with only the guitar it still amazes me to have imput from others and hear a song completely develop into being, not just sound like all the little bits in my head that no one else can hear when I'm playing!
And may I say, very very quietly, it has a slight JT beat to it - BUT I FUCKING LOVE IT!

No can do, but that would have been really great! If you find any cheap you-know-what costumes for me, let me know! I hope to meet her another time, yes?
Oh, and if you can pull off a JT beat, more power to you. He's da masta of disasta yo (read: awesome)

I tried on a pair of bright blue jeans today - they looked HIDEEEEEEEEEOUS!! I couldn't even wear them for just one night. So wrong!!
I think I'll sew up most of my outfit. If I can be arsed lol.

Yep. I went in the end. It was a really good night. But it ended badly for me. Maybe I'll elaborate later though, because I'm not sure I want to think about it now.
