Eventually the sky cleared and the clouds dissipated enough that he could see straight to the heavens. At first he stood calm for a few seconds as if he were staring straight at God.

And then he started screaming.

He screamed until he had to stop to take a breath, and then he kept screaming some more. He screamed until he reached the very top of his voice and then forced it to go even higher. He screamed until his throat started to bleed, but even then he didn't stop.

After awhile the whole world had paused to watch his efforts. He screamed so loud and so hard and for so long that eventually the angels in heaven got down off their perch and peered down through the Everything at him in wonderment that any one person could even try so hard, never before had they seen such an impressive display.

But even after all of that, God still wouldn't listen.
