So since December I have now moved from the crematory to becoming a funeral director/intern in one of the busiest funeral homes in my area. I have learned a lot and haven’t had much time to party. Some of the stuff I have seen was very sad. Usually were taking care of people who have passed at an old age. But sometimes you see people who went way too young. When I have time to slow down I try and remember that were all still alive and we should make the best of our time, we never know what comes for us tomorrow.
In between all the work I was able to get some time off to play some hockey and do some home improvement. I was lucky enough to hit some strip clubs by the old cemetery I used to work at. Weird story as I walk into one club and some dancer yells at me, I didn’t really recognize her but it turns out I buried her uncles ashes in a bench. Truth be told she was a little psycho. I love dancers but not ones that yell at you not to leave from the stage…I ran out as fast as I good. So my adventures are few and far between anymore, work has been almost all consuming. I hope anyone who reads this is doing well.

Crazy few weeks here for those who read these things. I’m sure it’s crazy for everyone, it seems like there is no time and everywhere I look people are rushing like ants on candy. From the perspective of my job lately I see everyone dead in boxes, but most seem at peace…final rest. I never realized life would speed up with having kids and moving up in my profession. I feel like the universe has continually been throwing up hoops when all I want to do is relax with a coffee and a cannoli out back by my fire pit.
It’s not all doom and gloom, at least I finally got my Funeral Directors license today allowing me to start as an intern this coming weekend(finally). I almost felt like the crematory did not want to let me go, I have a cooler full of people, 75 at least and my boss was on vacation. So for the last 3 days I worked 15 hour days just to keep up. I wish the reaper would take a break but tis the season when you live in Gods waiting room.
Anyway on a lighter note I got to DJ a friends suspension show and also went to a friend’s taping of Americastopstripper.com. I met some cool people some famous for different kinds of acting and I also met one famous early hip hop artist.

So it has been a while since I posted a blog here. I’ve been so busy I hardly have time to get on and look at the gorgeous women. Anyway the past month I have had lots of things going on from djing at clubs to getting ready for a new job.
Starting December I will become a funeral director/embalming intern. This means I will stop working in the crematory. I will miss the crematory and the good hours I had. The pay was good but funeral director pay is much better. I’m a little anxious because I will be meeting with family’s in grief but I’m sure I’ll be fine.
As for Halloween , well I worked hard on an iron man costume and was busy vjing a private party for a friend. We have done the party for 5 years in a row now and each year it’s a blast.
So now to tie up loose ends before my new job and hopefully getting a chance to work on my old Cadillac. In the meantime take care.

So among the crazy last few weeks here of studying , I passed my Funeral boards first shot. Passed the arts and the sciences section. So now I can cut someone open and drain them, legally that is…after they are dead. Anyway as a little stress reliever I went and got this 67 Eldorado. I drove this baby home with no brakes. I made it and learned that you could barrel roll a caddy at 50 mph around a right hand turn where as an SUV would have rolled 10 times.

FUNeral. Once more into the breach and passed the test. Hell of ride, I passed my Funeral Directing science embalming test. Oh well I guess that means instead of just cremating ancestors I now can cut them open and embalm them (with permission). Through the classes I watched people turn white and puke at the site of a real autopsy on a table in front of them. I’ve seen a lot of shit, most people die of age, but I’ve seen some stupid shit…(drugs, OD’s , suicides..etc ). Anyway time to put the books away and have some fun.

Suicide and other things.
So my job Is like a box of chocolates. This week we got another suicide. The woman tried to jump off a bridge and didn’t quite hit the water. Needless to say rocks aren’t forgiving. Bones were shattered and things were twisted up, a mess and a waste of life. My partners look in some kind of amazement and me I quietly wonder what was so bad for this person to end it like this.
This was Monday but as the week went on we got plenty of obese people in, they come in bunches. I am not talking 50 lbs overweight I mean 375 and up. Most of these people are middle aged and I start to wonder if food is so comforting that maybe these people are somehow subconsciously giving up and killing themselves also? I know that all cases are not the same and I am generalizing , I know many people get sick depressed, etc , etc.
I do this job everyday, and I try not to bring it home, but shit I can’t tell a priest and I know no one will really read this blog, but at least its off my chest for anybody who cares.
If life is that bad, get help, there is always help…and if you feel that miserable about life..don’t end it….be a prick and keep fighting….
