It's been a while...gimme a reason to post

The weather has been weird around here. For weeks it was freezing out and then it was in the 50’s for a two-week stretch. I was able to work outside during that time and even though I’m not finished with the outside restorations I decided to move inside until the spring. I’ve been working on the upstairs bathroom on weeknights after work. It was a lot of work but I recently finished it. I’m not much of an interior designer but I think it came out pretty nice. I ditched the sink cabinet because I built a towel closet in the hall where the old forced air heat duct was. What do ya think?

Still working my ass off on the house during most of my free time. I go to the job all day and come home only to start working again....... I’m tired! There’s really nothing else to report. Exciting life huh?

I apologize for my absence ( for those who give a shit). I’ve been busy getting life and career in order and even though I’ve visited the site occasionally, I have not updated my journal. Well.......here I am.

I purchased a foreclosure home recently at an auction and I have been fixing it up to move into.
The house was abandoned for 5 years so I had to gut the whole thing and start fresh. Much of my free time is spent there. Once it’s done, I’ll move in and sell the house I’m living in now. I had to sell my bike for some extra cash......this has really bummed me out! I can’t wait to move so I can buy a new one. It’s a bigger house with a lot more land so I’m very happy about it. The work is so consuming.... but it will be well worth it. Of all summers to buy a fixer-upper, I had to choose the hottest one on record..

I’ve been seeing a really cool girl for some time now and I’m glad that she enjoys helping me with some of the renovation work. She’s into watching me work and learning how to do things.....then jumping in to help. What more could a guy ask for?

I’m trying to improve my life a bit by looking for someone new. I’ve gone out with a couple of girls recently but it turned out neither were really my type. They weren’t Jennifer, lets put it that way. Anyways... I’m looking.

Unfortunately, I keep running into my ex. The feeling is hard to describe but I think Patsy Cline said it best when she sang “I Fall to Pieces”. Although it seems like the more I see her the better it gets. Maybe I’m getting over her....only time will tell.

Anyway, I know I should update my journal more often but I’m always so busy and I’m not much of a writer. Today is a sunny day with a temperature forecast of 45 degrees. Nice day to get out on the bike for a quick spin. I tried to start it yesterday and the battery was totally dead, so I put the trickle charger on it overnight. She should fire right up today (if I can get my lazy ass moving). Wanna go for a ride?
