So the yoga studio where I usually practice has been closed this week, as the instructors take a well deserved break from their legions of dedicated practioners. This has prompted me to find other forms of entertainment and self edification, such as riding my bike for the first time since last summer. Pedaling maniacally up and down the rail trail, I've been pondering skyrocketing gas prices, increasing trends towards obesity. Wouldn't both these problems be ameliorated by getting off our collective asses occassionally and walking/biking/canoeing/pogo-sticking instead of driving? Why is it that high tech solutions (eg, hydrogen economy), which will no doubt introduce a host of new problems, get all the press, while low tech immediate solutions get short shrift? I mean, I don't know anyone who's cut back their driving in response to rising gas prices. We all just bitch about it instead and hope someone else will fix the problem.

My other plan was to have bride and groom as Tarzan and Jane, and make the ceremony happen in the middle of the chimp enclosure, on top of the climbing bars.
