God I love racial profiling! I'm at SKY HARBOR waiting for my flight, and this one bitch won't take her eyes off me. She has this extremely fucked up glare plastered on her face and I don't really appreciate it. >.< I should be used to it by now...but I'm not. My father and I both have slightly Middle Eastern features, and since 9/11 people always assume that we MUST be terrorists. I will be forced to punch this woman in the face if she doesn't stop.

@ Squee - Thanks! :-) I really should be used to it by now...I mean...I was in New York City on 9/11. I guess I just want to believe that people can change and overcome their biases. Apparently that's asking too much.

@Schweitz - Ah yes...good ole Sky Harbor. :-) The kicker is that I've never had problems flying through there before...this is the first time anyone has given me any shit. I understand we're all on high alert after what happened in NYC this past week, but there is a difference between being vigilant...and just being bigoted.

For me, it's a little worse. I always wear a chain my fiance gave me (which has two small pendants-- a chai and a hamsa). Couple that with my middle eastern features, and people think they have a right to judge me.

I am just your average, dark skinned Hispanic who is completely and totally in love with Israel. :-) What's so wrong with that?
